Am I Wrong

(released 02.06.03)

Colin MacIntyre has ventured out of the obscure Scottish outpost of Mull, on a jaunt around the UK promoting pop tunes that are in the finest Beatles tradition. His live shows have a passionate following and are about to get a whole lot bigger this summer. MHS are performing close to home at the T In The Park festival, and prior to that have secured a prestigious support slot with REM in London at the end of June.

‘Am I Wrong’ is the second single to be taken from MHS’s acclaimed second album ‘Us’. It is an undoubted album highlight, a powerful piano driven ballad ornamented by strings and rhetorical questions.

The single is released over two CD’s, with one version including a bizarre cover of Miss Dynamite’s anti Eminem song ‘It Takes More’. MacIntyre revamped his original acoustic tribute by apparently taking the time, on a flight to Glasgow, to write an alternative on the back of an aircraft sick bag. The resulting song is a mightily strange prog pop tune.
