Muse have flown to number one yet again with their seventh album 'Drones', which has managed to rake in a glorious 73,000 sales. With epic singles like US Alternative Chart topper 'Dead Inside', we can hardly say we're surprised with the news.

The ultra-atmospheric trio have earned themselves their fifth UK number one album in a row, knocking Florence + The Machine's newest release 'How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful' to number two after only one week on top. And not only that, 'Drones' marks Muse's very first chart topping album in the US, so champagne is definitely in order.

2009's 'The Resistance' was the closest they'd ever been to US chart victory at a respectable number three, and 2012's 'The 2nd Law' saw them still ever closer at number two. Now they've finally managed it after sixteen years with this socio-technological themed release, which saw them team up with a new producer: the legendary Robert John "Mutt" Lange, whose previous credits include the likes of The Boomtown Rats, AC/DC, Shania Twain and Maroon 5.

Other new albums to hit the top 10 were Leftfield's comeback record 'Alternative Light Source' at number six and Iceland band Of Monsters And Men's second album 'Beneath the Skin' at number ten.

As for the rest of this week's top five, the third spot goes to Britain's Got Talent boyband Collabro with their second album 'Act Two', while Ed Sheeran's 'X' now sits at number four, and Sam Smith's 'In The Lonely Hour' is climbing back up at number five.
