Music’s made of memories

Released 1 st August 2005

For the last 5 years, ‘Treva Whateva’ has been helping the likes of Grand Central to compile their Mystic Brew compilations and Djing all over the world, which might explain why this is only his first al bum.

But it’s been worth the wait. Treva displays his versatility with a wide range of styles, ranging from the garage band bass of “Bouncing Bomb,” to the big jazz band finale of the Muppets on crack of “Singalong”. Along the way we are treated to the horribly insistent bass of “We Have The Technology” and the Guitar driven handclapping Rock N Roll of “DustBowl”.

Music’s Made of Memories eases you in gently with some funky repetitive vibes before ironically feeding you the nonsense that joints give you energy and set you up for the day…hmmm. After that the tracks become much more interesting beginning with old skool jungle number “Dedicated VIP”. The cacophony of MCs introducing the track bring you straight back to the darkly lit, smoke filled, sweaty warehouse and when the nasty bassline kicks no self respecting junglist would disapprove. There’s even a sample of “Big Fat and Heavy” thrown in for good measure. “more more, who wants some more???”
