My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way is bouncing back from the group's recent split by launching a new graphic novel based on the band's final album.

Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys will be released in June (13) but a preview will be available at the Forbidden Planet comic book store in Britain on Record Store Day in May (13).

Way co-wrote the story for the novel.

He announced his band had split last weekend (23-24Mar13).
