Diamond will play six UK arena dates beginning in September.
Legendary singer Neil Diamond celebrated his 76th birthday on Tuesday, January 24, by announcing the European leg of his 50th anniversary tour.
Diamond will begin his European tour in Zurich on September 13, before hitting the UK in October for six arena dates, including stops in Manchester and London. In November Diamond announced the North American leg of the tour, with 39 dates beginning in April.

In a statement, promoters Live Nation said: “Neil Diamond is more than just a music icon. His singular artistry and talent has left an indelible mark on American culture and has helped shape the sound of popular music for five decades. Live Nation is honoured to be a part of bringing his 50 year anniversary tour to fans around the world.”
To coincide with the tour Diamond will release box set Neil Diamond: The 50th Anniversary Collection, on March 31. The career spanning collection includes 50 songs from Diamond’s 50 year long career.
All the tracks have been handpicked by Diamond himself and the box set comes with a “carefully curated” 50 page booklet which includes new liner notes. The tracklisting will include his three US number ones, ‘Cracklin' Rosie’, ‘Song Sung Blue’ and ‘You Don't Bring Me Flowers’.

Diamond is a member of both the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, as well as a recipient of the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award, one of the highest honours bestowed upon songwriters.
Throughout his five decade long career he has sold over 130 million albums worldwide and had scored 37 Top 40 singles and 16 Top 10 albums. In 1974 he won a Grammy award for his soundtrack to film Jonathan Livingston Seagull.
Tickets for Diamond’s 50th Anniversary European tour will go on sale on Friday, January 27th and are available on through Live Nation. Dates are as follows:
