Music legend Neil Diamond is planning a bizarre collaboration with Limp Bizkit rocker Fred Durst, after the odd pair met online using social networking site Twitter.com.
Durst reached out to the Sweet Caroline star on the site - which stars use to stay in touch with their fans.
Durst told Diamond, "I am a huge fan of yours. We should do a collaboration - Neil Diamond meets my band Limp Bizkit. Sounds fresh."
And he was stunned when the 68 year old replied, "Id love to, where and when?.
Durst ended the public chat by saying, FANTASTIC!!!!! Incredible!! What a dream come true thanks to Twitter!!" - before inviting Diamond to get in touch privately: "Im in LA. Follow me and we can direct message.
Diamond could even make an appearance on Limp Bizkit's comeback album; the band recently reunited and have announced a string of 2009 summer dates around the world.
