'The Worst Person'
'The Worst Person' has no regard for subtlety, as it's clearly about the departure of Steve Klein, who was kicked from the band after charges that included lewd conduct with a minor. Lines like "The whole time you were abusing the ones you loved, you hid your life away / You didn't want them to know you were hooking up with girls in Boston" nearly made me choke on my drink the first time I heard it. It's the brutal honesty that most bands would shy away from that make it one of New Found Glory's best on Resurrection, and one of the best in their whole catalog - not to mention it's pretty ridiculously catchy, too.

'Vicious Love'
The year of 2006 was sort of an identity crisis for New Found Glory as they began taking promo shots with sweater vests and glasses on. The album the photos were for was for their critically acclaimed Coming Home, and it displayed a mature pop-rock sound that strayed completely away from their high tempo pop-punk norm. Coming Home is regarded as one of NFG's best efforts, and some fans have been yearning for a return to the sound since. Luckily, 'Vicious Love' is the closest thing we've seen to it yet. Its delightfully cheesy and its got a soaring chorus, and it would've fit perfectly as a Coming Home album track.

'Degenerate'
New Found Glory's biggest success came in the early 2000's with their records like Sticks and Stones and New Found Glory. Since then, with the exception of Coming Home, they've seemingly tried to revisit aspects of those albums at times and it just never worked out. It was never bad by any means, but it just didn't feel the same. However, 'Degenerate' is a song that sounds like it was written a decade ago in all the right ways, and they've nailed that past sound they've always tried to perfect again.

'Ready and Willing'
New Found Glory have two top ten albums and three Gold records - and that's a pretty impressive feat. The song that got them there is their smash single from 2002, 'My Friends Over You.' Though they've never reached the same level of radio play/mainstream success, they've had the tracks that absolutely had the potential. Sometimes, it's nice to sit back and imagine a world with NFG running rampant on radio again - and now, 'Ready and Willing' is the new track that'll fuel those thoughts again. Granted, it probably won't get huge, but it definitely should. The 'oh-oh's in the chorus are audio crack, and the bridge is fantastically poppy. Ironically enough, the music video is taking a fun jab at 5 Seconds of Summer - maybe they can take NFG on a tour someday and show the masses what they're missing.
