Apl.de.ap wants to be godfather to Fergie's baby.
The Black Eyed Peas frontwoman has made no secret of her desire to start a family with husband Josh Duhamel and her bandmate thinks she'll make a great mother and can't wait to play an important role in the tot's life.
Speaking at a fundraising event for his Apl.de.ap Foundation's We Can Be Anything campaign in London, he told BANG Showbiz: ''We're all on a break now and everyone's off doing their own thing.
''Fergie's great and it would be amazing if she and Josh had a baby. I would definitely love to be godfather. It'll be one cool baby and she's such a cool lady.''
Fergie recently admitted she is enjoying having time away from the band and being a ''wife''.
She said: ''I love touring and performing don't get me wrong, it's in my blood, in my veins, it runs through it. But, you know, doing it for eight years in a row, just sleeping in different beds, in different time zones, there's not much of a structure, and so it's nice to come home and be a wife and get to start to decorate my house and do all of those things. I'm still cleaning out my closet and Boxes in the garage of all the things, but it's cathartic for me, it's wonderful.
''Me and Josh get in the kitchen (and) we're not Rachael Ray, but we have fun. He can cook a mean lasagne.''
The We Can Be Anything Campaign is a joint advocacy of the Apl.de.ap Foundation and Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation. The goal is to raise funds to build 10,000 classrooms all over the Philippines within two years in one of the country's biggest-ever education reform projects.
