One of Great British Bake Off 's most likeable winners, Nadiya Hussain, has embraced the show’s new move to Channel 4, prompting speculation that the series favourite could land a presenting role in the new format.

Nadiya, who won the last series in 2015 during an emotional final, could appear on the new Channel 4 show due to air for the first time in 2018 after current stalwarts, Mel Giedroyc, Sue Perkins and Mary Berry, chose to stay at the BBC.
Mary’s fellow judge, Paul Hollywood, was the only presenter out of the original line-up to make the move over after the station purchased the Bake Off rights from Love Productions.

Nadiya, who has since presented the Queen with a cake following her Bake Off success, told BBC Breakfast: "Change happens, change comes and wherever it goes, whatever it does, I just want it to do well because it’s something I’ve spent the last six years watching.
"I’m all about change. It’s gone somewhere else. I don’t think we like change sometimes as humans.
"I don’t think there’s anything wrong with change. Hopefully it will work somewhere else."

However, the 31-year-old did admit Mel and Sue did help to make the show what it is.
She said: "They’re so important to the show. Every time I was falling apart they would come and say, ‘it’s just cake, you can do this’."
