Christy Romano grew up on 'Even Stevens', but is now starting her very own family. The 29-year-old married her longtime love just before ringing in 2014.
Child star Christy Romano is now all grown up, and officially a married woman.
The Even Stevens star confirmed the news to People. Romano and Brendan Rooney were married in Alberta, Canada on Tuesday (December 31) at the Fairmont Banff Springs.

"I went there when I was performing The Sound of Music in Calgary with Marie Osmond," Romano said. "It was such a magical feeling that stayed with me, so I wanted to recapture that on my wedding day."
Romano played Ren Stevens on the show as a child, from 2000 to 2003, as well as starring in Kim Possible from 2002 to 2007. After Hollywood, she decided to go to school and enrolled in Columbia University, where she met Rooney. He is currently working towards his MFA in screenwriting at the American Film Institute.
Romano has been keeping her foot in the door of Hollywood, taking a few roles here and there. She most recently appeared in Infected, a film about a "blood virus" (but sounding more like zombies), and has multiple projects in her future. In 2014, she is expected to appear in Prism, Lucky Dog and Real Love.

The couple had a whirlwind romance, and Rooney ended up proposing only nine months into dating.
"I was the assistant director on an on-campus documentary about veterans," Romano said. "Brendan was the president of the Military Veterans at Columbia and we met while we were interviewing him."
Romano and Rooney had around 50 guests at their wedding. Romano's sister served as maid of honor, and Rooney's brother served as best man.
Congrats to the newlyweds!
