Hailey Baldwin thinks Justin Bieber is a ''good person''.

The 18-year-old model - who has been romantically linked with the 21-year-old singer over recent months - has praised the 'What Do You Mean' singer for turning his life around and thinks he is now trying to show who he ''really is'' following his controversial antics last year.

She said: ''This past year [Justin] has made a lot of big changes in his life.

''He's really a good person and I don't think everybody knows that side of him. I think he's trying to get everybody to know that's who he really is.

''He's one of the most caring and most polite people I know.''

And both Hailey and Justin are thankful to receive spiritual support from the Hillsong church's Pastor Carl Lentz and his wife Laura.

Hailey added to the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column: ''[Justin and I] are very close with Carl and Laura. They care about me as authoritative figures in my life and I go to them with a lot of things and I ask for their advice.

''It really keeps me grounded to be a part of their church.''

In June, Hailey and Justin attended a five-day course in Australia run by the Hillsong church.

Justin insisted he had turned over a new leaf earlier this year following his arrests and wild partying last year, and credited his ''relationship with God'' for helping him to stay positive.

He wrote on his Instagram account: ''I'm not religious nor do i think I have ANYTHING figured out that's why I call out on God to help me through what I can't do on my own. Developing my relationship with God has been the coolest thing I've experienced, to know that I'm not alone and I don't have to live in fear. (sic)''
