Jessica Simpson is set to open fashion boutiques around the world.

The 'With You' hitmaker - who launched her clothing line, which is currently being sold online and in department stores, in 2006 - is planning on opening a range of stores after signing a deal with Sequential Brands, who have turned her business into a billion-dollar company by buying a majority stake.

A source told the New York Daily News: ''Jessica's done (magazine) covers all over the world, and they know who she is wherever she goes.

''They're excited about the sale (to Sequential) because there are people there who are going to do great international things for the brand.''

The 'Dukes of Hazzard' star runs her business with the help of her mother Tina and father Joe, who sell around $1 billion in products, including clothing, shoes, purses, fragrances and jewellery, every year.

The blonde beauty - who has Maxwell, three and 23-month-old Ace with her husband Eric Johnson - is now thought to be worth around $150 million since she signed the deal back in April.

Sources added that the late businessmen Vince Camuto - who helped the star launch the company - opened the door for Jessica to expand her brand overseas before his passing.

Meanwhile, Jessica has previously shared the secret behind her company's immense success.

Back in 2011 she said: ''We try not to set trends, but you need your trending pieces in every delivery. But those go fast: What you really need is your basics for every type of person.''
