Nick Gordon has filed to have a $10 million wrongful death lawsuit brought on by the passing of his girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown dismissed.
Nick Gordon has filed to have a wrongful death lawsuit related to the passing of Bobbi Kristina Brown dismissed.
The 24-year-old star's lawyers have submitted court documents arguing an amended suit brought on by the late starlet's co-conservator Bedelia Hargrove, contains
''several unsupported conclusory, untrue, criminal accusations that Defendant Nicholas Gordon committed acts that he simply did not do.''
Bobbi Kristina died on July 26, almost six months after she was found unresponsive in the bathtub in the home she shared with Nick and her co-conservator claims the aspiring singer's boyfriend had given her a ''toxic cocktail rendering her unconscious'', an allegation he denies.
However, the documents, which were filed yesterday (08.09.15), state Nick ''admits that the parties went out on the night in question, that he reviewed video footage and then had an argument with Ms. Brown and that he then changed clothes.'' He also tried to ''wake up'' Bobbi Kristina and performed CPR after she was found unresponsive.
The lawsuit against Nick, which is seeking $10 million in damages, also claim he physically abused Bobbi, knocking her teeth out and dragging her upstairs by her hair, as well as trying to ''control'' her and ''benefit from her wealth'', all allegations which his attorney's have denied in their documents to have the case dismissed.
Nick's lawyer has slammed the lawsuit as ''slanderous and meritless''.
Attorney Jose Baez told USA Today: ''The recent lawsuit against Nick is slanderous and meritless. Nick has been heartbroken and destroyed over the loss of his love and it's shameful that such baseless allegations have been presented publicly.
''Nick has engaged civil counsel and intends to defend the lawsuit vigorously and expose it for what it is: a fictitious assault against the person who loved Krissy most.''
