Nick Gordon is pleading with the family of Bobbi Kristina Brown to let him visit her in hospital.

Nick has released a statement through his lawyers begging his girlfriend's family to let him visit Bobbi, who has been in a coma since January.

According to Us Weekly, the statement - which is directed at Bobbi's father Bobby Brown and the family of her mother, the late Whitney Houston - reads: ''Despite his strong desire to see Bobbi Kristina, Nick has respected the families' wishes for over three months and has refrained from visiting or from pursuing access to her through the courts. He has asked through counsel many times privately and now asks both the Browns and the Houstons, please let him see her.''

Nick has been engaged in a dispute with his girlfriend's family since she was found unconscious in a bathtub in her home in Atlanta.

The Browns previously claimed they'd offered him the chance to visit his girlfriend but that he'd refused to agree to their terms.

They said at the time: ''Mr. Gordon was offered an opportunity to potentially visit Bobbi Kristina but...declined to meet the terms of any possible visit. Obviously Mr. Gordon is not as desperate to visit Bobbi Kristina as he wants the world to believe.''

Nick's lawyers responded to insist they had advised their client not to agree to the terms but that he'd repeatedly offered to meet with Bobby in private in order to come to an agreement.

The troubled star recently sought help at a rehab facility after a ''volatile'' interview with Dr. Phil, during which his mother revealed she'd caught him trying to commit suicide.
