BIG BROVAZ star RANDY spent time behind bars after being charged with gun related offences two years ago (02).

The rapper - who insists that his band are anti-violence - was arrested in June 2002 after a gun was found near his house.

Randy spent nearly a month in London's BRIXTON PRISON and was suspended from the band - which is why he does not appear in the video of the Big Brovaz debut hit single NU FLOW.

This news has shocked fans as the star has always gone to great lengths to distance himself from guns and violence.

He told British tabloid The Sun last September (03), "Kid's are our main audience, so for us to do music about guns and violence wouldn't be right."

Randy, whose real name is MICHAEL BROWN, was later released after charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.

A band spokesman confessed last night (22JAN04), "This isn't the first time a Big Brovaz star has had a brush with the law."

Bandmate Nadia's husband CHRISTOPHER STEPHENSON was charged with drug offences last October (03).
