Romeo Beckham was paid £45,000 for a day's work as a Burberry model.
The 12-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham was paid the equivalent of £93.75 a minute for an eight-hour day for the time he spent on set, which puts him among the world's highest-earning models.
However, Romeo's eye-watering rate of pay has already caused trouble among Burberry's other ambassadors, who typically earn less than half of what he does.
Actor- and-model Jamie Campbell Bower, 25, says it would be difficult for other models to match Romeo's rate of pay, telling The Mail on Sunday newspaper: ''Romeo has set some hard steps to follow in.''
Burberry, for its part, is able to point to the fact that the advertising campaign has received more publicity than is usual, largely because they've hired the son of one of the world's most famous and stylish couples.
Male models are traditionally paid less than their female counterparts, such as Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss, who together recently turned on the Christmas lights at Burberry's flagship store in Paris.
Romeo's lucrative deal with Burberry was struck with the help of Simon Fuller, the former Spice Girls manager who has helped to grow the Beckham brand.
