Ronan Farrow is joining Alec Baldwin on MSNBC.
Ronan Farrow, the 25-year-old son of Mia Farrow and one of either Woody Allen or Frank Sinatra, will host his own one-hour weekday show on MSNBC starting in early 2014.
"It's a show about why the news matters to you - and what you can do to be a part of the story. I'm excited to shake up people's expectations for cable news. And to get a ton of Twitter followers," Farrow said in a funny press release that also noted he was "two seasons behind on Breaking Bad."
Farrow, who is the latest newcomer to the MSNBC fold following the acquisition of Alec Baldwin, graduated from college aged 15 and Yale Law School at 21. He spent several years working as an Obama administration foreign-policy official, has a Rhodes Scholarship, is a freelance journalist published in The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times and has that television look, too. Basically, he's living the dream, this guy.
"Ronan has established himself as a provocative, independent journalist capable of challenging people's assumptions and empowering audiences," said MSNBC boss Phil Griffin. "His show will be a game changer for MSNBC, representing a fresh approach to how we deliver news."
Ronan Farrow, who no longer sees his father Woody Allen, hit the headlines earlier this month after Farrow claimed he may actually be the son of Frank Sinatra. Media-savvy Ronan quipped on Twitter, "Listen, we're all *possibly* Frank Sinatra's son."
Farrow married Sinatra, who was 29 years her senior, in Las Vegas in 1966. He apparently demanded a divorce two years later while she was filming the classic thriller Rosemary's Baby.
