Nicholas Hoult - 2015 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) - Celebrity Sightings at STORYS - Toronto, Canada - Sunday 13th September 2015
She took a break from filming 'X-Men: Apocalypse' in the Canadian city.
Hollywood A-list star Jennifer Lawrence took some time out of her manic filming schedule to visit a children’s hospital in Montreal, Canada and surprise some young patients. Obviously, there were pictures taken of her with the kids and chatting to staff, which is another reminder of why everybody loves J-Law. As if we needed another reason.
The 24 year old Hunger Games star is in the Canadian city filming X-Men: Apocalypse alongside James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult. It’s rumoured to be the last time she stars as Mystique in the franchise before it’s refreshed with new blood next time around.

Libby Day is a young woman, still permanently scarred from the events of her childhood. As a 7-year-old girl living in Kansas, she witnessed the brutal slaughter of her family, only weeks after discovering a bizarre interest of her brother Ben's and evidence that he practiced Satanism. After she accused Ben, then 16-years-old, of murder, he was locked up for life and her name went down in crime history. It left her with money from a charitable fund and royalities from her autobiography, but now in her early 30s she's completely broke. Soon though she meets Lyle Wirth, a member of a ghoulish group named The Kill Club, full of crime obsessed wannabe detectives who enjoy solving vicious crimes. They offer her money to help them solve what really happened when she was a girl, because hardly any of them believe her brother was the perpetrator of the massacre. She's sure it was him, but now she's forced to return to that time in her life and remember exactly what happened in the moments leading up to the tragedy - and that gets even more complicated when she finally visits Ben in prison.

Leave it to a veteran to show the young sparks how to do it: it's been 30 years since George Miller last visited his post-apocalyptic hero Max Rockatansky, and now he's back with the best-staged action thriller of the year, a blockbuster that dares to have meaningful themes and complex characters. He also recreates Mad Max as a kind of James Bond franchise with a story that sits alongside the earlier films, not before or after, and an actor who brings a new energy to the role.
In a desert wasteland where people trade water and oil to survive, Max (Tom Hardy) is a loner haunted by the death of his family. Then he's captured by a gang from the Citadel, a towering rock city run by the tyrant Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), who has positioned himself as a god who keeps his enslaved people on a short leash. On a mission to collect oil, Joe's top imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) veers her war-rig off into the desert. So Joe sends a gang after her. Leading the charge is the gung-ho Nux (Nicholas Hoult), who uses Max, strapped to his car like a grille ornament, as a blood-bag to supply energy. But after a series of clashes involving three other gangs of desert marauders, Max and Nux end up on board Furiosa's rig, in which she is hoping to smuggle Joe's five young wives to safety.
The plot itself is fairly blunt, which means that the film requires very little dialogue (Max doesn't speak at all for the first 45 minutes, mainly because his houth is actually bolted shut). Even so, Miller fills every shot with telling details that strengthen the characters and provide insight into what they are doing, building more intriguing relationships with suspicious glances than most filmmakers do with endless conversation.

Charlize Theron has no interested in directing, preferring to stay in front of the camera so she has "somebody to blame" if things go horribly wrong.
Charlize Theron has no desire to step behind the camera - at least not any time soon. Theron was interviewed at the L.A. premiere of Mad Max: Fury Road on Thursday night (7th May) and claimed she enjoys not having to take on the full responsibility of directing.

Original Mad Max star Mel Gibson made a surprise appearance at the premiere of Fury Road alongside Tom Hardy.
Film premieres are always exciting, star-studded events, but they don't usually feature a surprise appearance by one of the world's biggest movie icons. But last night (Thursday May 7), Mel Gibson decided to make an unannounced visit to the red-carpet premiere of Mad Max: Fury Road in Hollywood, Variety reports.
Gibson treated the Fury Road cast and crew to a surprise visit
The 59-year-old actor-director rose to fame as the original Max in the 1979 film and reprised his role in two sequels, in 1981 and 1985.

Could Oscar winner Eddie’s next big role be as Magizoologist Newt Scamander?
After taking home the Best Actor Award at this year’s Oscar ceremony, Eddie Redmayne is reportedly high on the list of Warner Bros' choices to star as Newt Scamander in the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Director David Yates has already signed onto the project, which is expected to hit cinemas in November of next year.
Redmayne won an Oscar earlier this year for Stephen Hawking biopic, The Theory of Everything.
According to The Wrap, Redmayne is Warner Bros. choice to star as Newt Scamander in what will be a trilogy of films, with author Jk Rowling penning the script. The Wrap reports an insider close to the situation as saying it is unclear whether Redmayne has met with Yates to discuss the project, but the actor has yet to see a script.
Mad Max just keeps on running. With nothing else to lose in his life, his only instinct is to survive the ever more savage climate the world has become. The ex-couple will have to get professional and put aside their history in 'X-Men: Apocalypse', due to start shooting next year.
The filming of the new X-Men movie is going to contain a classic ex-relationship ‘awkward’ moment. The franchise’s stars Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, who portray the characters Mystique and Beast, are set to film a sex scene in X-Men Apocalypse.
Lawrence and Hoult first met on the set of one of the previous films in the series, X-Men: First Class, in 2011. But in August this year the pair announced their split, citing busy schedules.
Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence is apparently dating Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin. The news came following Lawrence's split from her X-Men co-star, Nicholas Hoult in June 2014.
Apparently, flirting began at a party following a Coldplay concert in July of this year. Martin had been single since March when he split up with his wife, Gwyneth Paltrow after being married for ten years. Rumours began to circulate in various US media outlets before recently appearing in UK newspapers.
Jennifer recently split from X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult
Ten years after marrying fitness loving Paltrow, who has a strict excercise routine and enjoys a healthy diet, Martin has made a complete U-turn by dating the junk-food-enjoying smoker Lawrence. It has been suggested that this opposite lifestyle is what Martin finds attractive in Lawrence.
With award wins and nominations galore and a reputation as a real person, we look at how Jennifer Lawrence has secured herself in the heart of Hollywood.
A teaser trailer for Jennifer Lawrence’s new film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, was revealed at last week’s Comic-Con and fans had their appetite whet just enough to make them want more. This is the third in The Hunger Games’ franchise and will only serve to further establish Jennifer Lawrence’s Hollywood stardom.
The latest Hunger games film, Mockingjay Part 1, sees Jennifer Lawrence's character, Katniss Everdeen, become the face of the revolution
But, at the tender age of 23, how has this girl from Louisville in Kentucky come to be ‘the most talented young actress in America’ according to The Rolling Stone? Picking some good films to star in and acting so well that you receive several award nominations and a couple of wins is a good place to start.

Max Rockatansky is a formidable traveller of the Australian outback, still fighting against the dystopian setting whereby population is low and resources are few. He is still suffering from past traumas - the loss of his family due to rogue criminals - and is scarred from his frequent rescue missions of the various tribes he has come across over the decades. This time, however, he is more prepared than ever to deal with the ever growing brutality of the ruffians out to kill him, and as usual he is prepared to be just as savage in order to survive. It's been a long time since any kind of law and order was held in the world, so sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. On his latest journey for peace, he meets Furiosa; a woman desperate to live life once again and is convinced that her childhood hometown on the other side of the desert holds the key to tranquility in her life.

We're passionately excited to hear more information about the upcoming film adaption of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.' In the meantime, we've picked out five actors we think would be great for the role of Newt Scamander.
So, the question on everybody’s lips is “who should play Newt Scamander in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them?” We’re seriously excited about the project and have pulled together a list of a few actors that we think would suit the role. Sorry Americans, like Harry Potter, this role has to be reserved for the Brits!

Continuing to be the most original and resonant of the Marvel superhero franchises, the X-men return in the capable hands of director Bryan Singer, who again stirs plenty of meaty subtext beneath the thrilling action. He also has one of the best casts imaginable, including Oscar winners, cinema royalty, rising stars and matinee idols.
Best of all, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) returns to the fold after two less-than-thrilling solo adventures. He's at the centre of everything here, as Professor X and Magneto (Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen) ask Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) to send Wolverine's consciousness back 50 years to 1973. His mission is to prevent Dr Trask (Peter Dinklage) from inventing mutant-hunting robots, because they will go out of control and cause a present-day dystopia in which mutants and anyone who sympathises with them are killed. But Wolverine's biggest task will be to get the then-feuding Professor X and Magneto (James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender) to work together to keep renegade mutant Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) from making everything worse.
Thankfully, Simon Kinberg's script doesn't worry too much about the whole time-travel thing, shrugging off dubious logic by keeping the focus on the characters. And there are a lot of people to keep an eye on, which makes the film sometimes feel a bit crowded and leaves some characters barely on-screen at all (blink and you'll miss Anna Paquin's Rogue). The best newbie is Evan Peters' Quicksilver, who gets the film's most entertaining sequence as he races around tweaking an action sequence frame by frame. Other set-pieces are grippingly darker, and some don't quite make sense (why does Magneto feel the need to levitate an entire stadium?).
