Ever since Nick Cannon allegedly said "There is trouble in paradise," when referring to his 6-year marriage with Mariah Carey in August, speculation has surrounded the nature of the pairs' split, but for the time being the 'America's Got Talent' host is just taking "one day at a time."

Even though there have been several reports claiming Carey slapped Cannon with a "confidentially agreement," which lawfully stops him from publically talking about their divorce, the 34 year-old star spoke to Extra this week about how he is coping with the separation process.

"I'm just taking everything one day at a time and just being the best person that I can possibly be at the end of the day," he said at the NYC premiere of 'Addicted.'

Cannon also set the record straight on recent photographs of his back that clearly show a tattoo of 'Mariah' has been covered up.

"It's not finished yet," he said. "I'll talk to you when it gets finished. It wasn't supposed to be revealed yet. I was not in the middle of the street. I was on private property. I didn't know they were there. That's how sneaky paparazzi are.I had just gotten it done, it was painful, It hurt a lot and I'm still not finished, I'm still probably like six more sessions away."

And as for the couple's twins, Moroccan and Monroe, 3, "They are great man. They are doing amazing. They are on the road right now with mommy on tour," Cannon said. "It's all love, man."
