The 'America's Got Talent' judge took Twitter to vent his anger at false media reports during "this challenging time" for his family.
Last month many reports started surfacing that claimed Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey's six year marriage was finally over, but the acutal reason for this has not yet been confirmed and so far both stars have kept relatively quiet on their relationship status until now.
Cannon and Carey have allegedly ended their six year marriage
It seems the 'America's Got Talent' host couldn't stay tight lipped any longer, on Wednesday night (Sept 3rd) Cannon took to social media and posted twenty tweets addressing "this challenging time" for his family.
"I have personally been absent from social media for the past few months for obvious reasons, but I feel the need to finally speak up," the first post read.
"During this challenging time for me and my family, it saddens me that the media can be such evil bottom feeders," he continued. "Because my family & I haven't been forthcoming with personal information, people are quick to paint negative pictures and spread rumors."
In August, Cannon supposedly confirmed that his marriage to the Grammy Award-winning singer was over when he admitted, "There is trouble in paradise. We have been living in separate houses for a few months ... my main focus is my kids."
However, the 33 year-old star is now claiming that this statement is false and he has never commented on separating from Carey.
"For the record I NEVER have, nor will I make a statement regarding my marriage," he wrote Wednesday. "So whatever your favorite gossip outlet is reporting has been created within their own imagination."
Mariah and Nick have reportedly been living separately for months
Another report suggested thee celebrity couple's marriage hit a huge rough patch after Cannon was interviewed by radio personality Big Boy back in March, he named other celebrity stars he had bedded and one of them happened to be Kim Kardashian. The Split was also allegedly down to Cannon's hectic work schedule, this left Carey feeling like her husband "abandoned" her and the children.
"What infuriates me most is to hear people slander @MariahCarey . I will forever be in debted to her for blessing me with our children," his rant continued. "I will always love her unconditionally for this and so much more, MariahCarey is an amazing Mother and I trust her wholeheartedly."
Although it is still unclear if a divorce for the pair is imminent, the TV personality still has a lot of love for his wife, "I love @MariahCarey and that will never change!!!" he concluded.
