It was a bromance that everyone could get involved with as straight-laced Simon Cowell found a new goofy love with silly man David Walliams on the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel. Unfortunately for Walliams, it seems that Cowell enjoys that style of friendship so much he’s found a replacement Walliams on his other judging panel: The X Factor.

Nick GrimshawHipster Nick is in and comedian David is out

According to Nick Grimshaw, one of the two newest members of the Cowell’s singing talent contest, Walliams is out and he is in as Simon’s newest BFF.

According to The Mirror Online, BBC Radio 1’s breakfast DJ told the Daily Star on Sunday that he has taken David’s crown and has moved in on Simon.

Grimshaw said: "Me and Simon love each other. David is out and I’m in."

Grimshaw also revealed how much fun he is having on the show as the newest judge - an appointment that was not without its critics when it was first revealed.

But the 30-year-old London social butterfly appears to be ignoring all the nay-sayers.

He said: "It [The X Factor] is a lot more fun than I expected it to be. I thought it would be really hard work but we have such a laugh - even though I’m getting three hours’ sleep a night."

While his relationship with the big boss is growing, it seems Grimshaw is also developing a very particularly friendship with long-time judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

Grimshaw revealed: "I think we upped it [the fun] to a new level this week because we would Cheryl up something rotten.

"I love her but she is so easy to wind up and she can’t help but react. We were both making cat noises at about 11:30pm and driving her insane."
