Nick Jonas is still ''adjusting'' to being single.

The 'Jealous' hitmaker - who split from beauty queen Olivia Culpo in June and has been romantically linked to the likes of Kendall Jenner in recent weeks - is in a ''good place'' right now and finding the new phase in his life ''interesting''.

When asked about how it felt to be single, he said: ''Interesting. It's still an adjustment, getting use to my life on my own is an interesting thing.

''I'm in a good place of being young and grow and do what I need to do right now.''

And the 22-year-old star is channelling his spare time into creating a record label, Safehouse Records, with close pal Demi Lovato.

Of their new venture, he said: ''Demi and I [have been] friends for a really long time, we have the same manager and we all talked about wanting to create an environment for artist when we can all create freely and feel protected by each other and by the people that we work with.

''So the idea was to launch Safehouse. It's a record label and publishing company.''

And Nick has high hopes for the label and says the most important thing for him is to put the artist first.

He added to Adon magazine: ''Our focus at Safehouse Records is to put artists in control of their art while providing them the best tools to manage their careers.

''The priority of the artist and the fact that Demi and I are artists and we understand the support system that artist need. Its exciting to do that and hopefully it will work out as we imagine it will.''
