Pop star Nick Jonas is angry with his singing siblings over the breakup of their group The Jonas Brothers, according to actor Frank Grillo.

The trio disbanded in October last year (13) after pulling out of a North American tour, but it was thought to have been a joint decision.

In June (14), Nick's brothers and former bandmates Joe and Kevin Jonas headed out on tour with an interactive theatre show for fans but they were not joined by their sibling, and now it has emerged there is some ill-feeling over the split.

Grillo, who stars with Nick Jonas in new U.S. Tv drama Kingdom, says, "He is angry about the whole Jonas (Brothers) thing. I don't know if I'm supposed to say this... He's not crazy about the other brothers."

The actor also recalled how he fought against the idea of Jonas playing a mixed martial arts warrior in the new drama because he felt sure the pop star would not be able to cope with the gritty role.

Grillo, who shares an agent with Jonas, says, "I was against it... I said, 'No, never gonna happen...' I had done a movie called Warrior which is like the martial arts movie and I said, 'I have a lot at stake here... He's not doing it, forget it. Don't even send him in'.

"They sent him in... 30 guys come in and he was one of the last guys (to audition) and I sat there and I read with him and I looked at the producers and I said, 'He's the guy...' He was that much better than everyone else."
