Nicki Minaj becomes one of the pop industry's most eligible bachelorettes as recent reports suggest she's split from her partner Safaree Samuels after a long, and rather low-profile, relationship. The 'Anaconda' singer's love-life has never been the subject of headlines and for most people it was a little uncertain whether or not she had a boyfriend.

Her ability to keep her personal life firmly out of the spotlight is remarkable to say the least, but it seems the media's finally got wind that she's going through a particularly tough break-up with her PA, 'hype man' and partner of 14 years.

Samuels was the executive producer of her second album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' and frequently accompanied her on stage as her background rapper. However, with her increasing success, TMZ alleges that he became increasingly jealous with her fame and fortune and became determined to launch a rap career in his own interests. Apparently, the pair first came to blows when he refused to show up for a show and Nicki was left without a hype man.

The fact that she was in a long-term relationship was made clear earlier this year during a radio show where Hot 97 host Ebro revealed she had been with her man for over ten years. Nicki seemed less than open to comment further however.

Suggested evidence for that split is that Samuels has apparently had two Nicki themed tattoos on his chest covered. Personally, we think anyone's a fool to let this feisty and voluptuous rap princess go, but we'd love to see her best pal Drake in with a chance.
