Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey may be TV's favourite warring couple at the moment, but that doesn't mean that the two may put their personal differences behind themselves in the name of music, with Minaj admitting that an on-air collab between her and her American Idol co-judge could be on the cards.

With the ongoing spat between them seemingly being cleared up (somewhat) by Nicki on her reality show, Nicki Minaj: My Truth, (and by that I mean that she has given her side of the story) the 'Starships' singer has also admitted that she would be more than willing to perform with Carey on the show. She told E!, who air her new three-part show, that she would be down with sharing a mic as long as Carey was too, saying: "I think people would be interested in seeing that."

The feud between the two started when it was announced that Minaj would be joining Carey as the new panelist for the ongoing season of American Idol, although some reports have stated that the feud goes back further than that. The altercation really reached boiling point during an audition early on in the series when the two came to blows over a contestant, with the Roman Reloaded hitmaker attacking Carey with a tirade not meant for sensitive ears, with footage of the rant making its way online. Minaj has since said that Carey had been winding her up throughout filming, and at the point of the argument she had reached boiling point.
