Nicki has just released the video for 'Only'
The military themed, animated offering sees Nicki in charge of a full blown army, complete with soldiers, tanks and fighter planes, Amongst the images, some of the rap’s lyrics also flash up on screen, as Nicki sets the record straight on how she’s never slept with Drake or Chris Brown.
‘Only’ is the third single to be taken from Minaj’s long awaited The Pinkprint album, which will hit shelves on December 15th. Last week the rapper posted a picture of the artwork for the album’s deluxe edition to Instagram, featuring a pink fingerprint on a white background.
Tomorrow night (November 9th) Nicki will host the Europe Music Awards awards for the ceremony’s 20th anniversary. As well as taking on hosting duties Nicki will also be performing and is nominated for four awards, Best Female, Best Hip-Hop, Biggest Fans and Best Look.
Speaking of her best looks, a very high fashion Ms Minaj also graces the cover of this month’s V Magazine, shot by Mario Testino. Inside the mag, she dished on how it’s important for her to push the envelope because, well, she’s Nicki Minaj.
"I always push the envelope because I'm Nicki Minaj. I have to,” she said. "No matter who I'm on a song with, I feel like I have to say at least one thing that no one else is willing to say."
But as for what we can expect from the ‘Anaconda’ rapper’s new album, Minaj had this to say, "you can expect a great intro piece that really walks you through where my mind has been the past two years, and there's a strong love and relationship section that has been lacking lately on the radio.”
“It's not the glossy stuff, but the nitty-gritty, the fights, the heartbreaking things that people don't really touch on in rap," she added. "And for my core, I have the hard s--t. It's the stuff that makes everyone excited and gives them the stink face in the room, and makes people bop super hard.”
Nicki, we can’t wait!
