The track, which features Enrique Iglesias, has now been on top of the countdown for 26 weeks, passing Shakira and Alejandro Sanz's 2005 hit by a week.
Nicky Jam tells Billboard.com, "I don’t believe it yet. It's hard to digest."
El Perdon hit the number one spot back in February (15), and it hasn't moved since.
The song gives Iglesias a one-two punch as he also boasts the longest-running Hot Latin Songs chart number one with Bailando, which spent a staggering 41 consecutive weeks at the top, beginning in May, 2014.
