Kidman Desperate To Play Elizabeth I

There's just one movie role Nicole Kidman is desperate to take on before her movie career slows down - British Tudor queen ELIZABETH I.

Kidman has reportedly begged director pal Baz Luhrmann to make a movie about the monarch and cast her in the lead role.

Elizabeth has already been the subject of a number of recent movies, most notably Cate Blanchett's portrayal in 1998 hit ELIZABETH.

But Kidman is convinced ROMEO+JULIET director Luhrmann can create a totally different picture,
