Last year Kidman told the story of a terrible first date she had with the ‘Tonight Show’ host, but it turns out there’s more to the saga.
Nicole Kidman stopped by ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ on Thursday for another awkward interview with the talk show host, who she once went on a bad date with.
During an appearance on the show in January of last year, Kidman had revealed her and Fallon once went on a date, but the funnyman didn’t realise it was a romantic set up.
Describing the evening Kidman said: “You wouldn’t say anything, and then you put a video game on or something...and so after about an hour and a half, I thought, ‘He has no interest, this is so embarrassing’ and then I was like, ‘Maybe he’s gay.’”
Nicole Kidman was rejected by Jimmy Fallon twice
However Kidman and Fallon’s romantic saga didn't end there, as the actress revealed on Thursday that the host missed a second opportunity to get her number.
“You had a chance to ask for my number a second time and you didn’t,” she told him. “We were at David Fincher’s house — I think it was David’s house.
“And it was when Brad [Pitt] and Jen [Aniston] were still together, so it was a long time ago. And you could have asked for my number then because it was round two — second chance. And you still didn’t ask for it.”

But Fallon appeared to have no memory of the second encounter. “Do you remember the kitchen and the buffet?” Kidman then asked him.
“They had the food laid out in the kitchen — it was a big dinner party. And my agent had said, ‘Jimmy’s gonna be there and you’ll see — he can ask for your number.’
“And we were lurking in the kitchen cause everyone went out. And I’m waiting and waiting and waiting. And you’re at the buffet — and you still didn’t ask for my number.
“You were so not interested,” she added, before Fallon tried to explain himself.

“You were out of my league,” he said. Referring to the shocked audience, he then added: “They’re like, ‘He wouldn’t have a chance in hell with Nicole Kidman! Why would I even ask you?’”
Kidman then brought out husband Keith Urban and sat on his lap for the rest of the interview. “He wanted to come and take care of me while I’m on the show,” she said to a stunned Fallon.
Teasing the host, Urban then told him: “You have no problem ignoring my wife in the kitchen.”
