Nicole Kidman Is Hoping Her Late Father Will Bring Her Luck During Her West End Theatre Run Because The Opening Night Falls On The First Anniversary Of His Death.
The Moulin Rouge! actress lost her biochemist father Dr. Antony Kidman on 14 September, 2014 and she later took on a role in new play Photograph 51 as a tribute to him because they had discussed it together prior to his passing.
The show officially opens at London's Noel Coward Theatre on 14 September (15) following a week of previews, and Kidman hopes the coincidence is a good sign as she prepares to make her West End comeback after a 17-year absence.
She tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "Strangely enough, the special audience night... is the anniversary of the night he died. That is the weirdest coincidence, isn't it? I'm hoping that he'll be sprinkling some sort of blessing, some good luck, on all of us."
