The new series sees familiar faces back on the judging panel.
ITV have confirmed that the new series of ‘The X Factor’ will return on Saturday 27 August 2016 at 8pm and Sunday 28 August at 8pm. The new series sees the return of original judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, as well as former judge Nicole Scherzinger, alongside Simon Cowell.

The former Spice Girl is standing in for Scherzinger temporarily because of a "diary clash".
Scherzinger has cited a “diary clash” that had been set up before she agreed to return to the panel of ‘The X Factor’ last month, and therefore she won’t be present at the London auditions on Friday (June 17th). Instead, the former Spice Girl – also previously a judge on the 2014 series of the reality show – will be taking her place for the day.

Scherzinger, Osbourne and Louis Walsh have all returned to the talent show for the new series.
Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly set to pocket £125,000 more than fellow returning ‘x factor’ judge Sharon Osbourne. According to The Mirror the former Pussycat Doll will earn just over £1.8million for the new 'X Factor' series while Sharon will get £1.7million.
Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly being paid more than Sharon Osbourne for her ‘X Factor’ return.
Sources told the newspaper that the revelation will come as a shock to Sharon, as she was assured that she would be the highest-paid judge after head Simon Cowell. They added that Sharon had only decided to sign the contract once her demand was agreed.
The ‘X Factor’ judge described the tabloid story as ‘complete fiction’.
Nicole Scherzinger has taken to Twitter to deny that she had a ‘boozy’ fling with nightclub owner Joe Fournier, following her split from Lewis Hamilton. Fournier reportedly told The Sun that he had enjoyed a fling with the former Pussycat Doll last year when she holidayed on the Greek island of Mykonos, but Nicole has labelled the story ‘complete fiction’.
Nicole Scherzinger has slammed a nightclub owner for a tabloid kiss and tell story.
On Twitter Nicole wrote: 'It angers me that people create complete fiction in an attempt to secure a little attention, with zero respect or integrity.’ A spokesperson for the singer later told MailOnline: ‘This is a fictitious story created by someone with a vivid imagination. Nicole is appalled by these ridiculous lies.’

The three former judges will be back on the panel alongside Simon Cowell when the talent show returns later this year.
It was probably the worst kept secret in television, but this year’s ‘x factor’ judging panel has finally been confirmed with Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh all making a comeback. The three former judges will join Simon Cowell when the show returns later this year and he'll no doubt be hoping the familiar faces will bring back viewers after last series’ low ratings.
The former Pussycat Doll last sat on the judging panel in 2013.
Nicole Scherzinger has reportedly agreed a million-pound deal with Simon Cowell which will see her return to the ‘X Factor’ judging panel later this year. According to The Sun, Nicole’s return to the ITV talent show is now official and the new line-up will be announced next week.
Nicole Scherzinger has reportedly signed on as an ‘X Factor’ judge.
Nicole will be sitting alongside Simon Cowell and two other retuning judges from the past, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne. A source told The Sun: “Simon thinks Nicole is a great asset to the show and is delighted he was able to sign her up, despite the commitments she previously had elsewhere.”
Scherzinger pulled out weeks before rehearsals were due to start
Leona Lewis has been signed up to the latest Broadway revival of Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s Cats just weeks after Nicole Scherzinger reportedly pulled out to return to The X Factor judging panel. Her decision reportedly left Lord Lloyd-Webber "furious".

Lewis has since tweeted that she is "thrilled" to be playing Grizabella in the show that is due to open in July.

The former Pussycat Doll left the Broadway production to judge on the next series of the ‘X Factor’.
Nicole Scherzinger has responded to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s furious comments after she pulled out of the Broadway production of Cats, in order to return to the ‘X Factor’. Webber accused the singer of making him look ‘like an absolute t**’ when she left the show, as he now has to find another actress to fill the role.
Nicole Scherzinger has responded to Andrew Lloyd Webber.
But speaking to RadioTimes.com, Scherzinger said: "I had every intention of doing Cats on Broadway but the contract was never finalised. I am incredibly blessed to be given so many amazing opportunities, including Cats, but unfortunately we weren’t able to make it work this time around.”
The singer has pulled out of the Broadway revival at the last minute.
Andrew Lloyd Webber has never been one to mince his words and when it comes to the Broadway arrangement of his musical 'Cats', he's no different. He's brazenly told the world that he's 'furious' with star Nicole Scherzinger for dropping out at the last minute so that she could return to 'The X Factor'.
Nicole Scherzinger not hitting Broadway for 'Cats'
It's a shame, but it's true; the former 'Pussycat Doll' is leaving the whiskers behind so that she can go back to the talent show alongside Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh. She was a popular asset to the West End run of the 'Cats' revival in 2015, where she played Grizabella the Glamour Cat, a role popularized originally by Elaine Paige.
The cast already includes Abigail Breslin and Debra Messing.

The former Pussycat Doll is said to have locked herself in the toilet to make the call.
Nicole Scherzinger reportedly sent airline crew into a panic when she made an emergency phone call before her plane took off, according to The Sun. The newspaper reports that staff had to bang on the toilet door after the former Pussycat Doll locked herself in to make the call.
Nicole Scherzinger reportedly panicked airline crew by making a last minute call.
Scherzinger was travelling on the plane as a VIP and all of the passengers in the same area could reportedly hear the ‘animated’ exchange. The 37-year-old is said to have emerged just moments before the flight took off from Los Angeles on the Virgin airlines plane.
Nicole Scherzinger announced her intention to leave The X Factor, while Simon Cowell's return to the panel may bring about the return of Cheryl Cole.
Nicole has announced she will quit The X Factor to focus on her music
Nicole, who has been a judge on the UK (and original) version of The X Factor panel since 2011, claims she is leaving the show to focus on her music career. Nicole began her career with the group The Pussycat Dolls before releasing her solo album, 'Killer Love', in 2011. The 'Poison' singer has not released new music in around three years now and we can only imagine that she’s itching to get back into the recording studio.

Nicole Scherzinger could be leaving The X Factor, or is she simply angling for a new deal?
The future of Nicole Scherzinger as a judge and mentor on The X Factor looks in doubt after reports circulated that she is ready to begin focusing on her music career again. Scherzinger's agent was probably delighted to tie up a guest judging deal with the ITV singing show in 2010 though she's since outgrown the show and is now considered the most popular member of the panel.

Is Tamera Foster a shoo-in for this year's show?
Tamera Foster, 16, who made it into Nicole Scherzinger’s final three during Sunday’s X-Factor judges houses episode, is the hot favorite to win the show.
Foster, from Gravesend, Kent, is the 5/2 frontrunner to win the show though has already risked angering show bosses after hiring the services of a budding public relations man, Joshante Amihyia, who is also her boyfriend.
According to the Daily Star, Amihyia has been accompanying Foster to various commercial engagements, including photo-shoots not connected with The X-Factor. His Instagram and Facebook profiles appear to show him stepping out of chauffeur-driven sports cars, bragging about big-money business deals and posing with giant champagne bottles.

In a move that could be the talent show coup of the year, Kylie Minogue has agreed a deal to be a judge on 'The Voice'
Kylie Minogue remains one of the biggest names in pop music today, with a back catalogue that most modern day pop starlets could only dream of for their future output. With this in mind, her appointment as a judge on the upcoming season of the BBC's The Voice looks as though it could be the coup of the TV talent shows, however not everyone is convinced that she'll make a convincing judge on the show.
Kylie has been brought in to add some style to the talent show
Her credentials as a pop artist need no justifying, however her credentials as a presence on television will be seriously tested when she begins her new job sitting alongside Tom Jones, Will.i.am and whoever is brought in to replace the departing Danny O'Donoghue. She is my all means a much more popular entertainer compared to Jessie, and probably more so than some of the men that she is joining, but she enters the BBC series as an inexperienced TV presenter and may struggle to assert any kind of personality and endear herself to the audience. Either that, or she'll be a massive success and be loved by all.
The talent show judge has announced that the 10th series will be his last.
Louis Walsh has confirmed that he will quit ITV's singing telent contest, The X Factor, after this next series. The upcoming programmes, currently in auditions, will mark the 10th and final session for the 61 year-old entertainment manager.
Speaking to TV Times magazine, as reported by BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat, the Irishman said that he was "happy" to be finally stepping away from the show, having been its longest serving judge. "I'm happy this is going to be my last year. I've been judging X Factor for 10 years so I've done it all."

Sharon Osbourne should join Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and possible Nicole Scherzinger on the new panel.
Sharon Osbourne has agreed to return to the X-Factor to replace Tulisa Contostavlos in a £1.8 million deal. The reality star agreed terms in London this week and will jet in before the first audition in Glasgow on June 4, 2013. An official announcement is to be made imminently, though it is has been widely reported that Sharon has been in talks with ITV bosses for several months.
A source told The Sun, "Sharon's been through hell lately, so x factor was not front of mind. But she loves the show and missed it. Things with Ozzy have calmed down but they're a long way off being sorted." Simon Cowell has decided that Sharon is the right woman to revamp the show after it lost over three million viewers last time out. The music guru had also approached Oasis founder Noel Gallagher to join the judging panel - a request that he rejected.
Osbourne will earn £1.5 million in cash and £300,000 in first class flights between the UK and Los Angeles, with hotels, wardrobe and make-up costs also thrown in. She initially quit the panel in 2008 following a reported bust-up with Dannii Minogue. She will be joined by Gary Barlow (who is still thrashing out a new deal also worth £1.5 million) and Louis Walsh (who is presumably happy to accept anything). Nicole Scherzinger could return, though Mel B is reportedly on stand-by should the former Pussycat Doll decide to look for work elsewhere.

Nicole now has a decision to make
If Lewis Hamilton’s got anything to do with it, his girlfriend, Nicole Scherzinger, won’t be making a return to The X-Factor as a judge. The F1 driver reckons their schedules will be too packed for them to spend any time together.
An insider divulged to the Sunday People newspaper: “Lewis has said to Nicole this is going to be an awful situation and perhaps she shouldn't do it. If he thought she had her heart set on returning he wouldn't say this, but he knows she isn't desperate to go back and thinks she would be happier if they were together.” They added: “Nicole is also worried she won't see much of Lewis so it is a big factor that will deeply affect her decision.” Problem is, Simon Cowell really wants the Pussycat Doll to return, and has put her in a brilliant position, financially. Well, he would do anyway. Another insider (where do they get these insiders?) told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: “Nicole has Simon [Cowell] over a barrel. He's made it clear that his dream judging panel is Nicole, Sharon [Osbourne], Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow. Nicole feels she is in a great negotiating position because she was by far the most popular judge last year and Simon should be rewarding her for that."
So what’s she going to do? “There's a massive stand-off over her signing the contract - she wants Simon to pay her the extra million, putting her on £1.7 million. He really doesn't have a choice if he wants her to return to the show.” We reckon it’s only a matter of time before she signs that deal.

Landmark deal offered for Sharon's return
Sharon Osbourne’s marriage may well be in trouble but that hasn’t stopped the sharp-tongued matriarch from marching ever onwards with her career. She may have left the X Factor UK judging panel back in 2007 but now, Mrs Osbourne is not only set to return to her old role, but she’s going to do it in record-breaking style, with a reported £2 million deal getting inked to secure the reprisal of her slot on the show.
If you’re wondering who’s seat she’s going to be snatching, Huffington Post have reported that it is in fact Nicole Scherzinger who is likely to be giving up her judging slot, whilst Tulisa looks likely to escape her reported axing. Reports suggest that Nicole is opting to focus on her career, leaving Tulisa to make amends for her apparent lack of commitment on last season’s shows, which seemed to lead to her future on X Factor being on shaky ground. Tulisa’s album wasn’t quite the success that quite the success that she will have hoped it to be so X Factor could well be a lifeline for her.
Meanwhile, Sharon Osbourne has been in the press recently for slightly less celebratory reasons, after it was revealed that her marriage to Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne is on the rocks. Ozzy’s drink and drugs addictions have reared their ugly head again, though the couple are denying reports that they are getting divorced.

Nicole Scherzinger appears to be committed to recording to promoting her new album, rather than signing on for another season of X Factor.
Nicole Scherzinger is giving X-Factor bosses a major headache ahead of the new series, which starts on ITV later this year. The American singer emerged as a hit member of the judging panel and mentored both finalists on the most recent series, though the ex-Pussycat Doll is releasing a new album in November on both sides of the Atlantic and will be required to be available for heavy promotion.
Overseen by Simon Cowell, X-Factor bosses have tabled a bid of around £1 million for Nicole to return to the show - according to The Sun - though she insists money is not a sticking point, which isn't hard to believe. She's already one of the most recognisable stars on the planet and, err, dates Lewis Hamilton. She told a pal: "I'm so torn right now. My heart wants me to come back and do the show as I had such a great time last year. But my album is coming out and I also need to focus on that. I don't think I can make it work. By trying to juggle the two, one or both will suffer," she told a pal.
Nicole pointed towards the intense criticism that Kelly Rowland received after missing some of the live shows during her tenure on the show, saying she didn't want to experience anything similar. It leaves Simon Cowell with work to do to reform his judging panel, with Gary Barlow the only member of the team thought to have signed on for another stint. ITV bosses are still unsure about the relevance of Louis Walsh, while a deal for Sharon Osbourne is yet to be done.

Noel Gallagher's management have received a "name your price" offer from X-Factor bosses.
X-Factor producers have officially approached Noel Gallagher for the second time with an offer to become a judge on the ITV talent show. The former Oasis guitarist, 45, has been at the top of Simon Cowell's wish list for a number of years, though Noel's management company Ignition have received the biggest offer yet from the Syco Music mogul, thought to be, essentially, a blank cheque.
A source told The Sun last night, "Simon is determined to get Noel on board. He sees him as his natural replacement as the real alpha male on the panel. He thinks Noel would be ideal, with his music knowledge, straight-talking and rapier wit." Cowell made a seven-figure offer to the rocker last year, though was knocked back as Gallagher prepared to release his No.1 album. Though Noel has made no secret of his openness to offers should the money be right, it may be his young daughter who emerges as the key to discussions. The source added, "Noel's daughter Anais is a huge fan of One Direction and X Factor, so she'll be nagging him to say yes."
The guitarist appears to have the talents required to judge and mentor singing hopefuls. During an interview with Real Radio Yorkshire in 2011, Gallagher said, "I don't mind The X Factor.I've got an 11-year-old daughter; she's obsessed with it as all 11-year-old girls are. I was watching it on Saturday actually, and I managed to pick everybody they put through to the live finals." He also spoke of being approached by Cowell, "I know him and he was going 'we want you to be on it'" Noel said, "I was going 'you don't really want me on it - I won't put anyone through, and I can't have people round my house crying in the kitchen when I don't put them through because they'll frighten the cat."

Jahmene Douglas joined his former mentor Nicole Scherzinger in the studio for what looks suspiciously like an upcoming collaboration.
Nicole Scherzinger is back in the studio after a hiatus so long, most of us forgot her solo career had been a thing.
But that’s not all. A picture she tweeted today revealed that the X Factor judge is recording with none other than last year's finalist Jahmene Douglas. Well, it revealed that they were together in the studio at least, but that always means a collab is on the horizon, right? Scherzinger’s protégé finished second on the show last year, behind James Arthur, but it’s no surprise that she’s chosen him for a collaboration. Apparently the Whatever U Like singer has been keeping in touch with everyone from her group on the X Factor, in one way or another: “We don't speak every day but they seem to be trucking along really well. I'm happy for all my boys. They've all just got off the tour, and I know Jahmene is working on the music right now," she revealed for Digital Spy.
They've been tight ever since the show ended and now Jahmene and Nicole are working together as well.
Rihanna and Nicole Scherzinger can't please their mums
Mums. Today we celebrate them. But for some, this is a day of getting told off. Rihanna, for instance, whose mum isn’t a fan of her raunchy behaviour and dress sense has had it in the ear.
The 25-year-old told Elle magazine, "I’m not afraid of any person other than my mother, but I’m terrified of her. She called me two days ago and reeled me in about two pictures Melissa put up on Instagram , a sneak peek from a photo book she’s making about me. She went crazy on me. I was embarrassed. I felt like I got my ass whipped in front of my class at school. She humbled the f*** out of me." It’s not just Rihanna’s ma that gets annoyed with her daughter’s penchant for the scantily clad; Nicole Scherzinger has a similar issue with her mum. “I’m thirtysomething but she still calls me and scolds me. She says, ‘I always tell you to not compromise yourself, Nicole’. She sees me as the highest daughter. She’s very spiritual. She keeps me grounded. She’s my rock.”

Nicole Scherzinger, now promoting her latest single 'Boomerang', joined Capital FM for a chat in which it was revealed that the singer can do a nigh-on perfect impression of her US X Factor counterpart, Britney Spears.
Radio presenter Max, with some gentle persuasion, managed to convince the ex-Pussycat doll to sing 'Oops... I Did It Again' by Spears, who took over the world with the track back in 2000. The impression is actually pretty good.
In another radio interview, with Kiss FM, Scherzinger has even hinted at the possibility of getting back together with her old group, the Pussycat Dolls. "I love the girls, I miss them, I wish them the best. I don't see why it wouldn't be possible sometime in the future," she said. "But right now I'm really excited for all the hard work I put into my music to get that out."
Lewis Hamilton is best known for being the youngest ever Formula 1 World Champion, which he won back in 2008 aged just 23, but his girlfriend, ex-Pussycat Doll and X Factor presenter, Nicole Scherzinger has revealed to Capital FM that he is also recording some of his own music.
"He loves music. He's always loved music since he was young and he plays the guitar so he's been recording some tracks, doing his thing for fun," Nicole told Capital FM. Apparently, "It sounds amazing." While we'd love that to be true, theres' a nagging feeling that Nicole may just be playing the supportive girlfriend role. Although, she didn't mention whether it's music that he's likely to release to the public or whether it's just a hobby. "Everybody's free to do music or something, a hobby or what they love, so I do nothing but support him. You can't listen to the haters out there," she says. "I mean, if he wants to record some songs and be creative then there's nothing wrong with that." Sounds like just a hobby, shame.
Nicole added. "Me getting in a car trying to drive really fast, now that's scary!" It seems she'll be sticking to music, but at the moment it's unclear as to whether she'll be sticking to the X Factor. She beat all the other judges by having two of her artists reach the final, and one of them win - James Arthur. She's said she'd like to go out on a high. While we may never hear any of Lewis' music, Nicole has a new single out at the moment called 'Boomerang'.
Cheryl Cole has ruled out a return to the X Factor UK, telling television host Graham Norton "It's a definite no." The Girls Aloud star is reportedly suing the U.S. version of the show claiming they broke her contract following her sacking last year, though speculation suggested she would return to the UK panel as head-judge.
With the future of Nicole Scherzinger and Gary Barlow in doubt, many fans of the show assumed Cole would join Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh on the panel for 2013, though the girl band star has put an end to the rumours. Cole released her autobiography two months ago, though claims none of her Girls Aloud band mates have read it. "They don't need to [read it] as they were there. People think there was a three year break but we still socialised on a weekly basis. It's not like we didn't see each other for three years."
Despite Cheryl's denial, the bookmakers still have her at 8/1 to judge on the show next year, though Simon Cowell is the odds-on 8/11 favourite to be the newest addition to the panel. Mel B and Sharon Osbourne are also short odds to return to the judging line-up.
The former Girls Aloud singer was taken off the show in May, after filming just two audition episodes, allegedly because American audiences could not keep up with her Geordie accent. The incident seemed to have blown over, with two judges having taken Cheryl’s place on the show after her departure. However, now it looks like it won’t all be smooth sailing for Simon Cowell. Cole has filed a claim with Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming that according to her contract, she is entitled to the money for the show’s second season, as well as a sizeable list of perks. The star wants reimbursement for the cost of bodyguards, flights to LA, as well as wardrobe and stylists for the show, among other things.
Simon Cowell’s legal representatives, on the other hand, maintain that Cole has already been overcompensated, having been paid for a full season of appearances on X Factor, despite only doing two episodes. With the legal proceedings in full swing, it looks like Simon and Cheryl’s personal relationship has been under strain. Both of the stars have a lot on the line with this case. Cowell has taken personal responsibility for the firing and, according to some sources, “could be deposed” if the case goes wrong. Alternatively, if Cole loses, she will be faced with a mountain of legal fees”. Cheryl has allegedly been offered to return to the show, after falling ratings since her departure.
Despite only becoming a prominent front runner in the competition at week eight, James Arthur took the x factor UK crown last night, beating out Jahmene Douglas and Christopher Maloney in the final held over two nights (December 9 and 10).
The Daily Mirror published the week-by-week votes from throughout the 10 weeks of live competition, and as recently as week seven Arthur was in the bottom two, having only taken 13.7% that week. What a difference a week makes, though, and sure enough the next weekend he was on top of the polls with 51.7% after two stunning renditions of Abba’s ‘SOS’ and Marvin Gaye’s ‘Let’s Get It On’. He was never bested again, and so although last night’s final was undoubtedly tense, the result was perhaps a lot less in doubt than it might have appeared.
In the final held in Manchester, Arthur was comfortably clear of Maloney on the first night, singing ‘Feeling Good’ by Nina Simone and ‘Make You Feel My Love’ by Bob Dylan with mentor Nicole Scherzinger. Indeed, it was a busy night for Scherzinger given that Douglas was also her protégé, and so she teamed up with him for ‘The Greatest Love Of All’, made famous by Whitney Houston. With Thomas putting in a strong performance on the first night, it was no surprise that Liverpudlian Maloney was the first of the three to go, bowing out on the Saturday night. Last night, though, Arthur was victorious, 53.7% to 38.9%; he returned to ‘Let’s Get It On’ and ‘Impossible’ by Shontelle to step it up a notch and take the win.

It looks like x factor host Dermot O'Leary and co-judge Nicole Scherzinger showed up to the wrong set earlier this week, as the pair winded up pulling pints at Coronation Street's world famous Rovers Return pub, as opposed to getting ready for tonights X Factor grand finale.
Whilst everyone else involved in tonight's (Dec 8) live final, O'Leary and his Pussycat Doll sidekick found time to sneak away from final of the ninth X Factor series to visit one of Manchester's most famous pubs. Nicole tweeted a picture of the two on Thursday (Nov 6) behind the bar at the Rovers with the pints they pulled, with the cheeky caption "Oh... Just another day at the office!" - but judging by the standard of their pints, its probably best if they stick to their day jobs.
After the little excursion though it was time to get back to work, with Dermot heading back down to the studio to check out the rehearsals and Nicole getting ready for a few rehearsals of her own. As was the case last year, the final three acts will perform a duet with their mentor as part of their farewell performance, meaning Nicole will be singing twice with her pupils James Arthur and Jahmene Douglas, whilst top dog judge Gary Barlow will be taking to the stage to sing with Christopher Maloney. Next year, we really do hope that one of Louis' lot make it to the final to see how he does.
Uh-oh! Was an enforced trip to Middlesborough the final nail in the coffin for Nicole Scherzinger’s X Factor ambitions? Or was it Swindon that broke her? Either way, just hours after Nicole finished taking her two finalists James and Jahmene back to their hometowns for a final publicity surge before Saturday’s final, The Sun have announced that Scherzinger will most likely leave the show at the end of the series.
She reckons that having two of her gang in the final three is a good way to go out on a high. Though frankly, there is still the terrifying possibility that her two gang members might lose out to Christopher Maloney, which wouldn’t really be anything to brag about. It seems as though her work as a mentor on the show this year has inspired her to reinvigorate her own singing career and the 34 year old isn’t 100% sure that she wants to return to the time-consuming job of mentoring and judging next year. “I’m really glad I did the show. I don’t know if I’ll come back next year. End on a high, right?” She added: “This year has changed my life. As an artist, it’s put into perspective what I want, how to go about it. People have made me so comfortable and I have to thank you.”
If the show’s producers are keen to keep Nicole on board though, they probably just have to bump her salary a little bit. When asked if a cheeky pay rise might change her mind about leaving, she laughed “That’s what I’m talking about!” What do you think? Should she stay or should she go?
Despite X Factor's Christopher Maloney garnering an inordinate and confusing amount of votes, at the moment, James Arthur is The X Factor's golden boy. This isn't only down to his heart melting voice and lyrics, but to his boyish charms and good looks which are already proving very popular with the ladies.
STV reports that him saying: "I'd love to fall in love and find a soul-mate. I'd like to meet a girl who I can write songs for and connect with on an emotional level. I'm quite a sensitive, fragile soul and I like to be looked after." Adding, "I've had a little bit of fun but nowhere near as much as people would have you believe. I wouldn't have the time or stamina to be dating all those lovely ladies. I'll definitely be up for pursuing some of the offers I've received after the show..."
In the run up to the final on Saturday, James Arthur has returned to his home county and Middlesbrough for a free gig for local fans tonight. Nicole Scherzinger arrived on the back of a motorbike dressed in leathers ready for James to show her around. According to the BBC this free gig is the first that he's performed to his local fans since appearing on the show, and one which he's more than happy to give. "It feels like the ultimate sense of achievement, the viewers like what we do and they want to see us in the future, so it's a real honour that people pick up the phone." He added, "There wasn't a lot to be proud of in the past for me, so to see them pleased to have their brother achieving good stuff - it is very nice for me."
We’re not entirely sure why James Arthur and Nicole Scherzinger rolled into Middlesborough on the back of two Harley Davidsons today (December 4, 2012). But they did. And Nicole made sure that she looked every bit the superstar, just in case James was under any illusion that he might be the star of the show at his emotional little homecoming trip.
That’s right folks, it’s that time on X Factor, when the camera crews decamp to whichever unremarkable British town the finalists happen to hail from, feed a group of schoolchildren a barrel-load of E numbers and force them to act excited about their returning alumni and film their family members quivering with tears (presumably because they know that their intolerable offspring will be returning to the unremarkable British town with an unmanageable ego that will take years to deflate when they lose to Christopher Maloney in the final).
The main point of this trip to Middlesborough, though, isn’t just to catch up with an over-dramatised account of James’ life in the land of the parmo, but to see what Nicole Scherzinger looks like in biking leathers. The answer to that, of course, is that she looks pretty hot. There she was, all trussed up in knee high boots, tight black trousers, dark shades, leather gloves and a leather biker jacket, whilst James looked visibly frozen, forced to keep his hands in his pockets to keep them warm. We guess the wardrobe budget for the day couldn’t quite stretch to two pairs of gloves, then.
Nicole Scherzinger was the guest of honour at last night’s launch of EE, the 4G network. And to add a real sense of occasion to the event, she was wearing the first ever ‘Twitter Dress.’ The elaborate garment was designed by Cute Circuit and included 500 Swarovski crystals, according to STV, as well as around 2000 LED lights, which displayed messages posted to Twitter, when users included the address @EE and the hashtag #tweethedress. So, as Twitter users posted messages, they scrolled across Nicole Scherzinger’s… er… lower regions. We’re not entirely sure WHY this dress was invented but it sure looked interesting!
They’d done a decent job of hiding all the necessary battery packs and LED fittings, anyway and Nicole was looking sumptuous as ever in the silk chiffon dress. We’ll bet she was pretty warm inside all those lights, though; especially when she took to the stage to perform ’Try With Me’ and the Pussycat Dolls song ‘Don’t Cha’ Nicole may have been the only celebrity there in a ground-breaking Twitter dress, but there were plenty of other stars out in force last night.
Kelly Holmes, Pixie Lott and Jimmy Carr were also in attendance at the event, which was hosted by EE, the company that owns Orange and T-Mobile, to launch the UK’s fourth generation mobile network. Tomorrow, of course, will be back to normal for Nicole Scherzinger, as she will return to the judging panel on X Factor.
Nicole Scherzinger combined technology with fashion and wore the UK's first 'Twitter dress' at the launch event for the new 4G mobile network EE where she also performed live.
It looks like the former Pussycat Doll's stunning style on this series of the UK version of 'The X Factor' has not failed to catch the eyes of popular designers as she was asked to showcase the dress at Battersea Power Station on Thursday (November 1st 2012). The dress was a beautiful black number reportedly made from eight metres of fine French silk chiffon and embellished with 500 Swarovski crystals and 2,000 tiny LED bulbs. The idea is that the lights flash across the dress spelling out fans' Tweets in real time as they sent in messages to @EE with the hashtag #tweetthedress while the star flaunted it on the red carpet. Nicole certainly seemed thrilled having been asked to don the gown for the event and signed in to Twitter to reveal the exciting news before the event. 'I've been asked to wear the UK's first ever twitter dress tonight for the @EE Launch Party @BatterseaPowerStation #tweetthedress So EXCITED!', she wrote.
The Twitter get up was designed and created by an interactive fashion company called Cute Circuit which is favoured by the likes of Katy Perry and U2.
Nicole Scherzinger, a judge on the UK's X Factor, who's currently dating British Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton, has admitted she had no idea who David Cameron was. The former Pussycat Dolls star actually met the Prime Minister at the Pride of Britain Awards earlier this week, though had to be told who he was.
In fact, Scherzinger has revealed to The Mirror that she asked one of Cameron's aides where 'Prime Minister' Blair was. "I didn't know who he was," she said, adding, "They said they were introducing me to the Prime Minister and he came over, and I was like, 'Where's Tony Blair?' I thought it was still him. Someone had to tell me. I was a real ass." Earlier this week at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards, Scherzinger said she absolutely loved Prince Charles' Pride of Britain speech. "He is gangsta!" she said, "He's a prince! He basically got up on stage and said: 'The UK's the s***.' I was like: Yeah!"
The X Factor star created waves at the event after chugging down on a pint of beer while her showbiz pals sipped wine. Thumbs up from us!
Nicole Scherzinger has finally put straight rumors that she is dating Rihanna's ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, describing a photograph of the pair getting close as being completely innocent. Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Nicole claimed her cosiness with Brown, 23, at a Los Angeles nightclub was not what it seemed.
"You are always going to have people saying something or having a picture. But it is complete dross if you and your partner know what the truth is." Of course, Scherzinger is still in a relationship with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, which basically made the photograph a huge deal last month. The former Pussycat Doll star added, "Chris Brown and I are definitely just mates - I have known him since he was younger than 16. We were just talking. Even my mum said, 'I saw a picture of you'. It's the same when Lewis had some random girls sitting in the lobby." Hmm wasn't it a little more than that Nicole? In July, Hamilton caused a stir after reportedly inviting women back to his London hotel following a night out with rapper J Cole. However, Nicole, 34, insists "Can't girls just be sitting in the lobby? Maybe they were going to the same party."
The superstar couple maintain a long-distance relationship, spending most of their time together at Hamilton's pad in Monaco or at her Los Angeles home. "I wouldn't wish a long-distance relationship on anyone, Lewis would say the same. But if it's worth it, you fight for it. We try to see each other as much as possible," she added.

After Saturday's stunning performance of Take That's 'Rule the World', Ella Henderson has shot to the favourite spot by bookies as they cut the odds dramatically which are now 10/11.
The X-Factor stylists seem to have aptly chosen to model Henderson on Lana Del Rey, which suits her look and voice perfectly, but Henderson's performance proved her to have distinctly better voice than the American singer, who shocked and disappointed fans with a poor performance on Saturday Night Live earlier this year. Nicole Scherzinger described her as a 'blessing', Louis said she was the best female singer since Leona Lewis and Gary Barlow said that she sang his song “10 times better than [him]”. High praise indeed.
Ella's version of the song shot to number one in the iTunes download chart, followed by Lucy Spraggan. This positive news surrounding the X-Factor is in distinct contrast to the controversy of Sunday night's elimination, in which Louis Walsh effectively signed the death warrant for Carolynne Pool's time on the show, as he chose to let the decision go to 'deadlock' rather than save the obviously better singer. His choice saved Rylan Clark who the bookies know isn't going to win, with odds at 100/1, and to be honest, even that seems a little generous.
Cheryl Cole is certainly pulling no punches in her new autobiography 'Cheryl: My Story', with one particular passage touching on the first time she met current X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger. The Girls Aloud star, 29, recalls the "embarrassing" and "awkward" couple of minutes she spent with the Pussycat Dolls singer.
In a leaked extract from the book that appeared on Twitter, Cole writes, "The first time I met Nicole was when she was performing on The X Factor in London.Oh my God, Cheryl! You're just as pretty in real life! I heard your song on the radio!' she had gushed. It was really embarrassing." Though all this seems pretty harmless, Cheryl reportedly adds, "Then she started singing 'Promise This' to me, and I swear to God the woman sang the whole song, to my face. It was just so awkward, and every time I stood next to her she started singing it again.I thought how that would be like me going up to Britney and singing the whole of 'Baby, One More Time' in her face. Can you imagine how weird that would be?" Essentially, readers of Cheryl's book will learn - pretty quickly - that the Geordie singer isn't too keen on Scherzinger. She also details a meeting on The X Factor USA, when she went over to greet Nicole and presenter Steve Jones, saying, "Steve was normal and friendly but Nicole was singing and dancing to her own songs, and I found that a bit crazy and odd."
Nicole was initially given a presenting role on Simon Cowell's stateside version of the show, though eventually replaced Cheryl as a judge. She now holds Cole's former position on the UK show.
Nicole Scherzinger’s eating disorder hit the headlines recently, and now the singer has come out to tell the world how her boyfriend, the F1 driver Lewis Hamilton helped her through the difficult time, The Metro reports.
“[Hamilton] gave me the courage to kind of end that disorder and that disease,” she explained. “He made me feel beautiful for who I am and not what pant size I’m wearing and that helped a lot. A little light came on in the back of my head and that’s when I started to try and turn this around. I said, "Wow, I’ve got to learn how to accept myself and my body." I started to embrace myself as a woman and my curves.” Despite being pictured getting close to Chris Brown at a club recently, Scherzinger was quick to explain that it was due to the music, and not any feelings of affection. And anyway, she’s happy with her current man. “We are both passionate. Together we’ve created a great bond,” she asserted.
Speaking to VH1, Scherzinger opened up about her disorder: "I hated myself... I never felt so alone in my life," she said "I guess it was like my addiction, right? I never did drugs, but kinda doing things to myself was my addiction. It's like when I got offstage, I was on this high, and I'd come back to my room and I'd be alone, so I would just do things. My bulimia was my addiction. Hurting myself was my addiction."
Bieber's Web History? Justin Bieber has been left laptop-less after a thief swiped some of his most treasured belongings during a gig in Washington state. The pop superstar told Twitter followers that both his laptop and camera had been stolen!
Royal Rumble! Hulk Hogan is angry. The former WWF Champion says he will hunt down the person responsible for leaking his sex tape, which emerged on the web last week, which emerged on the web last week. The woman in the video has been named as Heather Clean, the ex-wife of Hulk's best buddy Bubba The Love Sponge!
In an exclusive with The Metro, Scherzinger explained: "It breaks my heart. Last year, I had death threats on The X Factor USA. It kind of ruined me. I told them (the producers) I didn't wanna leave my room." And as if that wasn't bad enough, the 34-year old's act on the UK The X Factor, Rylan Clark, has also been the subject of some abuse: "It really frightened and scared me when I got death threats. It upsets me to hear that Rylan had to go through that... to read some of the comments that he has had," explained the 34-year-old pop star. "I didn't know people could conjure up such thoughts... so hateful," she added. "I just have to say a prayer for people like that. It's not positive. These are just ignorant, uneducated people."
Gary Barlow, one of the key judges on the show, is also critical of Clark, but not in the weird, abusive way in which some members of the public have been. He tends to offer constructive criticism, but an increasingly confident Scherzinger is ready to take him on. "It ain't nothing but a chicken wing, I believe in Rylan," she said.
Chris Brown and Rihanna, back together? It’s certainly looking that way, after the couple were spotted smooching at New York City nightspot Griffin this week. Just one week after Brown and Nicole Scherzinger were forced to play down rumors of a romance, the ‘Run It!’ singer appears to have reignited his controversial relationship with Ri-Ri.
According to the reliable folk at E! Online, Brown was initially joined by Bow Wow at his own table inside the club, before Rihanna arrived and sat in a separate booth. Later in the evening, Brown climbed over to join Rihanna at her table before somewhat bizarrely taking off his shirt. It seemed to do the trick though because before long, the former couple were dancing and making out. Brown eventually left the club just before 4am, with Rihanna following suit around five minutes later. Representatives for both stars are remaining suspiciously silent on the story and let’s not forget: Brown is still on probation for beating the Barbadian singer before the Grammy Awards in 2009. Nevertheless, they have remained close and even shared a friendly kiss at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.
Brown’s girlfriend Karrueche Tran was noticeably absent from the club this week, though Dave Chappelle, Tyson Beckford and Chris Rock were all in attendance. In a further twist, one eyewitness claims to have spotted Rihanna and Chris Brown leaving the Gansevoort Hotel together the following day. Coincidence?
Given the recent Chris Brown drugs scandal, the headline darling testing positive for cannabis whilst on probation, every move he makes is likely to be scrutinized to every degree, and his recent rendezvous with Pussycat Dolls star Scherzinger is no different. The 34 year-old singer has moved to quell the rumours quickly, saying that there was no affection in their intimate movements, rather loud music forcing them to shout in each other’s ears. "They were dancing close for a while and being all touchy-feely and finally Chris leaned into her," a source had told X17online.com. "She put her head on his shoulder and they started kissing! I couldn't believe Chis was being so obvious about it!" But Scherzinger was having none of that: "I guarantee there will be no photos of them kissing," her rep told TMZ.
Chris Brown was likely letting off some steam after a tricky few days. His trial has been brought into question of late due to some controversy surrounding his community service, and most recently, his failure of a drugs test. It turned out, though, that testing positive for marijuana didn’t affect his case.
