The former Pussycat Doll last sat on the judging panel in 2013.
Nicole Scherzinger has reportedly agreed a million-pound deal with Simon Cowell which will see her return to the ‘X Factor’ judging panel later this year. According to The Sun, Nicole’s return to the ITV talent show is now official and the new line-up will be announced next week.
Nicole Scherzinger has reportedly signed on as an ‘X Factor’ judge.
Nicole will be sitting alongside Simon Cowell and two other retuning judges from the past, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne. A source told The Sun: “Simon thinks Nicole is a great asset to the show and is delighted he was able to sign her up, despite the commitments she previously had elsewhere.”
“He wants this year’s show to go back to its best and she is very much part of that plan. Not one of the judges – Nicole, Sharon or Louis – could ever be accused of shying away from an opinion. And Nicole also brings her own brand of eccentric humour.”
Nicole first appeared on the ‘X Factor’ in 2010 as one of the guest judges who filled in for Danni Minogue during her maternity leave. During her 2010 stint she was also present during the bootcamp round where she helped oversee the formation of One Direction.
In 2012 she became a full time judge after Kelly Rowland departed and saw her act James Arthur win the competition. The next year she won again, this time in the over 25s category, with singer Sam Bailey.
