OJ Simpson, the former Nfl star currently serving a 33 year prison sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping, has admitted to murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, according to a report by the National Enquirer. Oj Simpson, who was found not guilty of the killing in a dramatic and highly-publicised trial, reportedly confessed from prison.
The Enquirer are reporting that Simpson told one of Oprah Winfrey's producers his secret during an interview from jail. The 63-year-old reportedly claimed he stabbed his wife in 1994 as an act of self-defence. The news comes after Winfrey announced that Simpson was the guest she dreams of interviewing on her new network. Speaking at the National Cable and Telecommunications convention in Chicago, the daytime host said, "I have a dream of O.J. Simpson confessing to me.and I am going to make that happen, people. I don't just want the interview. I want the interview on the condition that you are ready, Mr. Simpson". The former Nfl star was reportedly due to confess in the 2006 book 'If I Did It', but it was withdrawn by the publisher just before release after a wave of criticism. The publication purported to be a first-person fictional account of the murders as if Simpson had actually committed them.
Oj Simpson's current prison sentence relates to a 2007 incident during which the 63-year-old entered a room at the Palace Station hotel-casino and took sports memorabilia at gunpoint.
