Olivia Munn has split from her boyfriend.

The 31-year-old actress ended her relationship with NHL star Brad Richards - who she had been dating since November - after realising she wanted no more than Friendship with the ice Hockey player.

A source told UsMagazine.com: "She ended it with him. She had to. It's not really complicated. She just realised she liked him as a friend and nothing more."

Fans of Brad's hockey team the New York Rangers may be upset by the news because the actress - who previously briefly dated Justin Timberlake and has been romantically linked with Matthew Morrison - had been described as their good luck mascot.

A source said shortly after they started dating: "Olivia has become the Rangers' good luck charm as they've been on a 6-0 winning streak since they first started dating two weeks ago."

Olivia previously revealed she has secretly had a number of famous boyfriends, which she has managed to keep a secret by going on dates to unpopular destinations.

She explained: "Over the last year, I've dated guys that, if people knew, would be on the cover of magazines. But they don't find out because I say, 'Hey, would you like to go to Valencia?'

"Some people go to restaurants that are so popular. They say it's really good food. You're like, 'What food is worth that?' The lobster ceviche will be just as good in a to-go box."
