One Direction will have some exciting news for fans with their video for Midnight Memories to be released sometime in the new year. The 1D guys were spotted just before Christmas Eve filming on Tower Bridge, with an agent for the musical fivesome later confirming for MTV News that the shoot was for the title track off their latest album.

The 1D guys delayed their holiday break to film the video for Midnight Memories.

A release date for the video has not been announced yet. Midnight Memories is the third single off the band’s third studio album (hopefully 3 is their lucky number) and follows similarly the similarly upbeat Best Song Ever and the ballad Story of My Life. Last week, viewers of the X Factor finale were treated to a live performance of the track, when the 1D guys appeared on the show.

Not only are they releasing the video soon, 2014 will include a record-breaking tour as well.

After the release of the video, Harry, Zayn, Louis, Liam and Niall have quite a busy year ahead of them. Their 2014 tour so far includes 88 dates across Europe, the US and South America. According to Digital Spy, the tour is projected to gross over $1bn or £610 million, breaking previous records set by the likes of U2 and The Rolling Stones. In fact, tickets were apparently in such high demand, that 21 American dates had to be added to the schedule, according to a US spokesperson for 1D.

And how could we forget, happy birthday to Louis Tommlinson!

"It is absolutely conceivable that still more could be squeezed in before the end of 2014 but that will ultimately be up to the band and its management,” the rep also said for Digital Spy. "Until now we hadn't even thought in terms of breaking records.”
