Hit Boyband One Direction Are Remaining Silent Over A Report They Are Planning To Split Up For A Year After The Release Of Their Next Album.
Millions of fans around the world were sent into meltdown on Sunday (23Aug15) following a report in British newspaper The Sun suggesting the Best Song Ever hitmakers are to go on hiatus in 2016.
A spokesman for the band insisted he will not comment on "speculation", and the singers - Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Niall Horan - avoided mentioning the rumour when they took to the stage in Chicago, Illinois hours later.
One Direction, who were reduced to a four-piece when Zayn Malik quit earlier this year (15), performed for a sold-out crowd at the Soldier Field stadium but did not mention the split report during the show.
They have also avoided the subject on social media, with Payne taking to Twitter.com after the concert to write, "Chicago that was amazing thank you so much loads of fun."
