Oprah Winfrey is up to her old charitable tricks again; this time the Queen of daytime television is selling off some of her old belongings for a charity yard sale. 'The Oprah Winfrey Collection' will go on sale at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club - so it isn't exactly your conventional yard sale - on 2 Novemeber, with all procedes going towards the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation College Fund. And just as a disclaimer, Oprah probably won't be 'hosting' the auction. She probably won't even be there on the day.

The full list of belongings once used by Oprah is available on the Kiminski auction house website, which goes on to explain that the many personal artefacts come from Oprah's many homes in Indiana, Hawaii, Chicago and Santa Barbara. The lot includes a treasure trove of portraits of the star, furniture, a painting of Harriet Tubman and a whole heap more.

Among the items up for grabs include an oil painting of the star with two cocker spaniels, a number of framed photograph of Oprah taken throughout her career, some prehistoric sea creature fossils, five vespas (being sold individually), some terrifying dolls (again, each sold separately) and two ceramic lion figures, to name but some of the items on offer. There really is something for everyone, especially if you enjoy old tat. In all, there are 29 pages worth of belongings listed in the catalogue for the collection, with items ranging from $100 - $1000.

The lot is open to anyone, and if you happen to be in the Santa Barbara area at the beginning of November, the auction is open for free. Other fees will apply. Pre-registration is required for anyone wishing to bid on any of the items, online or in person, and this can be done on the auction's web page.
