Former Ozzy Osbourne Guitarist Jake E. Lee And His Band Red Dragon Cartel Have Escaped Unharmed After Their Limousine Caught Fire And Burst Into Flames On A California Highway.
The metal band was travelling along Interstate 880 in San Jose on Wednesday (09Sep15), when flames engulfed the hood of the vehicle.
The rockers and their other passengers managed to climb out of the car uninjured and police have since determined the fire was sparked by a a short circuit in the limo's electrical system.
In a post on Facebook.com, the bandmembers have assured fans they are OK, writing, "Thanks to the quick action of our driver and a little luck on our side, we are all safe and sound. Thanks to everyone for your concern."
Lee, who performed with Osbourne in the mid-1980s following the death of his longtime guitarist Randy Rhoads, still plans to go ahead with Red Dragon Cartel's scheduled show in San Jose's RockBar on Thursday night (10Sep15).
