We Have A Problem

Kano releases ‘We Have A Problem’ on 679 Recordings. Kano gained chart success with his last release ‘Typical Day’ and he’s gaining popularity from the new buying market created from the acclaim of The Streets. Kano’s delivery on this track is moody, broody and he shows a lazy but serious style. He spits with an urban street slang that has a unique British character and youthful angst. He showing that he means business on this track, that he will bring on the ‘beef’ and stand his

ground in the resolute conviction that only hip hop gangster tunes can do. Obviously it’s not NWA as it’s urban British music, however it has venom and straight up fervent danger to incite a dissatisfied youth. Alas it seems to me ‘We Have A Problem’ fits mainly into that category rather than potentially gaining credibility to older audiences due its lack of message in the lyrics. Yet it would sound good in a club as the beats are heavy and have a nice grime feel to it and I guess he’s got plenty of time on his hands, being so young himself, to address more profound issues.
