The former 'CM' star will reprise her role as Emily Prentiss on the upcoming 200th episode of the long-running crime drama
Paget Brewster will be returning to our screens as Emily Prentiss in the upcoming 200th episode of the hit CBS drama Criminal Minds. Brewster left the show following a period of dispute, but her exit left her character with the opportunity to return and when the show hits it's landmark 200th episode, this will be the case.

Much like the re-introduction of Marg Helgenberg's character on CSI to coincide with it's 300th episode, Brewster will be re-joining the cast in order to shed light on some of the mysteries that occurred during her absence over the past year, namely, whatever happened to JJ Jareau (AJ Cook). Her re-introduction will also aid the rest of the current cast with a particularly difficult case they are working on, bringing her expertise to the fore once again.

Unlike with ensemble dramas like Magnolia, there's only lip service paid to connecting the stories here. While the class has about a dozen people in it, director Ishai Setton mainly focuses on two of the classmates: Amy (Paget Brewster), a teacher headed for divorce, and Jordan (Jess Weixler), an innocent-seeming girl who actually works as a casino dealer and stripper. Their lone connection: Jordan's brother is a student in Amy's class, which they put together later in the film. Swimming instructor Noah (Jeff Branson) also plays a role: He's a hunky guy that all the gals in the class adore, but he's morose and wants a dog.

This is psychological horror, so prepare yourself for some twists. But its first half, in which ominous things occur while George is spending his final night before the procedure and steeling his nerves for it, really ratchets up the tension, scene by scene. Maybe it was just a vaguely anxious mood I was in during my screening of the DVD, but for some reason the hair on the back of my neck was on end for the first full hour of the movie... strangely panicked about what was going to happen next.
