When Dr Derek Shepherd met his end on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ earlier this year fans were shocked, upset and left wondering why McDreamy had to meet such a sad end. Ashton Kutcher Crowned Highest Paid Actor On TV For Second Year Running

Ashton Kutcher Jon Cryer Angus T. Jones Ray Romano Neil Patrick Harris Mark Harmon Patrick Dempsey Tim Allen Charlie Sheen

Ashton Kutcher has topped the list of Highest Paid Actors in Television for a second year running, earning an estimated $24 million over the course of June 2012 and June 2013, according to Forbes Magazine. The star of the hit sitcom Two and a Half Men has made most of his money from his role on the Chuck Lorre show, as well as a considerable amount from his role as Steve Jobs in the biopic about the late Apple co-founder.

Like the man he portrayed in the flop biopic, Kutcher also has a keen business sense, and has made some of his millions by investing in a number of emerging businesses. The Jobs actor has stakes in tech companies Airbnb, Foursquare and Path, however it is his role as billionaire Walden Schmitt that has earned him the largest chunk of his impressive yearly earnings. The Forbes estimate does not take into account any of his business earnings, only what he has earned through the entertainment industry.

Kutcher's Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer also made the list, coming in at second with an estimated $21 million in earnings between 2012 and 2013. Angus T. Jones, who is no longer a series regular after a video of him condemning the show as "filth" emerge online, also made the list thanks to his role on the show. Although his stint as a regular on the series has since ended, having recently been replaced by Amber Tamblyn as a series regular, Jones is still likely to make a considerable amount of regular income thanks to the show's syndication.

Patrick Dempsey's Charm Helped Him Win Tully's, Says Starbucks

Patrick Dempsey

Few people knew that Grey's Anatomy dreamboat Patrick Dempsey is also a budding entrepreneur, and (probably) even fewer people knew that the actor uses his superpower-like charm to great effect in his new role as a business magnate - or at least that's what Starbucks claim.

The coffeehouse giants are up in arms over the recent auctioning of bankrupt coffee chain Tully's, which saw Dempsey's investment company, Global Baristas, make the winning bid despite offering a lower bid than they had. The Seattle-based coffee company have said that Dempsey's 'McDreamy' persona helped to win the now-defunct chain's remaining stores, a business technique that they believe should not be stood for. In a statement given after the auction, the actors charm and good looks “may have impeded financing for qualified bidders and creates the appearance that its bid was favored."

Thats quite a bold statement to make, if not a little absurd too, and as such Dempsey himself has hit back at the coffee giants and reiterated that his bid was nothing more than a genuine attempt to save the jobs seemingly lost by Tully's bankruptcy. He told ABC's KOMO-TV in Seattle:"To keep all those jobs in the company intact, that was a big turning point when it was decided that if you break it up, it's not something that's acceptable. I think some of the players involved in this deal want to take those jobs away, and you're looking at an economy that's rough to get jobs. I went by one of the stores yesterday and the employees are deeply concerned. That's one thing we care deeply about."

Patrick Dempsey Successful In Bid For Coffee Chain

Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Dempsey - star of Grey's Anatomy - has had his $9.15 million bid for Seattle-based Tully's Coffee accepted, beating out hot-drink-giants Starbucks in the process.

"I think some of the players involved in this deal want to take those jobs away, and you're looking at an economy that's rough to get jobs," Dempsey told ABC's KOMO-TV in Seattle. "I went by one of the stores yesterday and the employees are deeply concerned. That's one thing we care deeply about." Starbucks reportedly offered to buy 13 of Tully's company-owned stores in the area of Puget Sound plus 12 locations within Boeing Co. offices. But Dempsey didn't want it to fall in their hands. "I'm thrilled that we won and I'm even more excited about saving Tully's Coffee and its hundreds of jobs," he said. "Tully's is a great company with committed employees, and with its base in Seattle, one of the world's greatest cities, I'm confident we will be able to successfully build the brand and help grow the economy. "

"We are very encouraged and excited that Patrick Dempsey's commitment to Tully's, to the company, the stores and perhaps most importantly, in keeping the members of Tully's family in place as they are today," Scott Pearson, CEO and President of TC Global, Inc., said in a statement. "This is a big win for Seattle."

Gray's Anatomy Star Patrick Dempsey Buys Out Seattle Coffee Chain

Patrick Dempsey

You may have wondered if TV heartthrob Patrick Dempsey was just a pretty face? Whether, in real life, he would actually look into your eyes, hand you a cup of steaming coffee and ask you how your day went?

Ok, you probably weren’t wondering that, but the coffee part is sort of true. Apparently Gray’s Anatomy’s McDreamy (horrible nickname, work on that, writing staff) has bought out Tully’s – a struggling coffee chain from his native Seattle. Dempsey broke the news on Twitter earlier this week, with the following status update: “We met the green monster, looked her in the eye and… SHE BLINKED! We got it! Thank you Seattle!” The “green monster” he is referring to is coffee shop giant Starbucks, whom Dempsey’s own company Global Baristas Llc. beat out in the fight for Tully’s.

So, what’s in store for the actor and the coffee chain now? Well, firstly, Dempsey will probably have to deal with the legal dispute that Starbucks reps promised. If he comes out on top, an complete revamping of Tully’s is coming – the name and company ethic will remain, but almost everything else will be changed. “Tully’s is a great company with committed employees and with its base in Seattle, one of the world’s greatest cities, I’m confident we will be able to successfully build the brand and help grow the economy,” Dempsey said in a statement.

Seattle Coffee Chain Bought Out By TV Heartthrob Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Dempsey

Gray’s Anatomy heartthrob Patrick Dempsey will be serving it up hot – the coffee that is – as he just managed to buy out the popular Seattle coffee chain Tully’s.

The TV star with coffee shop mogul ambitions announced the news over Twitter: "We met the green monster, looked her in the eye, and...SHE BLINKED! We got it! Thank you Seattle!” Dempsey’s bid won over the almighty coffee giant – Starbucks – and his company – Global Baristas Llc. will now give the local coffee chain a makeover, while still retaining the brand’s overall image. That’s the plan, at least. According to Dempsey, the small coffee chain needs to find its identity. "It's a much smaller chain that has a lot of potential that hasn't been given the proper care," he said, quoted by ABC News.

It’s a rare defeat for Starbucks and what probably stings even more is that it happened on home ground, but it may not be time for Dempsey to celebrate just yet. In a statement released by Starbucks, the company insinuated that the sale would be disputed and a final decision wouldn’t be made on the case until January 11. Whether Dempsey wins or not, will certainly be interesting to see what happens to Tully’s under the new management.

Patrick Dempsey Shows Commitment To Seattle In Interest To Buy Coffee Shop Chain

Patrick Dempsey

Patrick Dempsey is McDreamy in real life as well. One of the stars of the hit American medical drama Grey's Anatomy, playing the desirable neurosurgeon, Dr Shepherd, or as the other characters refer to him- McDreamy- Dempsey has spent a lot of time in Seattle for many years, as the show is set and filmed there. The actor has come to love the city so much that he's leading a pack of investors, set to buy the bankrupt coffee chain Tully's and turn it around.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to save hundreds of jobs, give back to Seattle and become a larger part of the economic growth and fabric of the community," he told E!. "I've always loved this city, and with the purchase of Tully's Coffee, I plan to spend a lot of time in Seattle and at the stores connecting with the community and growing the Tully's brand. It looks like Seattle may be my home away from home in the very near future."

A bankruptcy auction is set to be held in early January in which Dempsey and the rest of his business partners will be bidding. We hope he wins, there's almost nothing better in life than the prospect of being served coffee by Patrick Dempsey. According to Vanity Fair the buy would save 500 jobs and be just another of the good deeds the actor has done for Seattle based institutions- he's also raised almost half a million dollars for the children's hospital there.

Neve Campbell In 'Grey's Anatomy' As Derek Shepherd's Sister

Neve Campbell Patrick Dempsey Caterina Scorsone Party Of Five

Four words: Neve Campbell, 'Grey's Anatomy'. That's right; the 'Scream' actress is set to become the latest cast addition to ABC's medical drama.

Before you get excited, however, the stunning 39-year-old star is only confirmed to appear in two episodes of the long running series to play one of Patrick Dempsey's heartthrob character Dr. Derek Shepherd's four sisters. Two of his sisters, Amelia and Nancy, have previously made appearances in the series played by Caterina Scorsone and Embeth Davitz respectively. The other two siblings have yet remained elusive though we do know that one of them is a psychiatrist called Kathleen; Neve Campbell's exact role is, however, vague.

Campbell is best known for her roles on 1996 horror movie 'Scream' as Sidney Prescott and its subsequent three sequels as well as the 1994 to 2000 TV series 'Party Of Five' in which she played Julia Salinger. Talking of 'Scream' though, Campbell and Dempsey's first onscreen work together was for 'Scream 3' in which they shared a romantic connection, with Dempsey starring as the law abiding Detective Mark Kincaid with an unrelenting crush on Sidney.
