Fact: Patrick Stewart's U.S. TV comedy Blunt Talk has been cancelled after two seasons. The X-Men actor starred as opinionated British newsman Walter Blunt in the show, which last year (15) earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy. Season two recently completed airing on American network Starz, but there will not be a third run. The show premiered in 2015 and was executive produced by Stewart and Seth MACFarlane.

Fact: Revered British actor Sir Patrick Stewart kicked off his interview with U.S. TV host Seth Meyers with an apology on Tuesday (22Sep15), after showing up in jeans and a hooded sweater. The usually well-dressed Star Trek icon carried his suit bag onto the New York set of Late Night with Seth Meyers and confessed he had been running late to the studio, saying, "I apologise for my appearance. I look like I've just been doing the garden, but I don't garden, so that would be a lie.... I had no time to change, but I want to prove to you, it was my intention (to dress up for the appearance)... There were other issues."
