He’s playing my dad! What! The! Hell!” Taylor was so excited he ended up having to be fanned by co-star Erin Richards.

Reubens is no stranger to the Batman universe and in particular the Penguin. He also played the villain's father in Tim Burton’s 1992 movie Batman Returns, opposite Danny DeVito. The actor is also gearing up for the return of his character Pee-wee Herman, whose new film hits Netflix next year.

‘Gotham’ season two also sees the introduction of Michael Chiklis as Jim Gordon’s new boss, Captain Nathaniel Barnes. Speaking about his character during the Comic Con panel Chiklis said, “Barnes comes in as a countermeasure to the villainy that is running amok in Gotham.”
