Actor Paul Rudd was once left limping in agony after an unexpected work out with U2 frontman Bono - because he was desperately trying to keep up with the fit rocker.
The I Love You, Man star reveals he met Bono in a hotel gym years ago and struck up a conversation with the singer while they were exercising.
Rudd recalls, "I was working out on a treadmill in a small gym in a hotel and somebody walked in and it was Bono, and I was so psyched.
"I can tell he came in thinking nobody would be in the gym, it's the middle of the afternoon and he just wanted to use the treadmill.
"I'd been going (on the treadmill) for a while so I go, 'Did you want to use the treadmill?' And he goes, 'It's alright', and I said, 'No, it's fine.' So I get off and get on the incumbent bicycle next to the treadmill. I'd never done it but Bono was on the treadmill next to me and I struck up a conversation."
But he was so excited to be talking to the Irish star he didn't want to stop - so he kept cycling away on his machine while Bono continued running for over an hour.
The actor says, "He was talking about corporate America and Africa. It's the kind of conversation you would want to have with Bono, if you ever were to be in conversation with Bono.
"And he's in amazing shape and he just kept going and going and I didn't want it to end so I kept going and going. I was super exhausted and he's just sitting (sic) there going for over an hour. Then finally he left and I hobbled out of the gym and I could barely walk, and the next day I was in agony! But I kept it going for the conversation."
