The team behind Fast & Furious 7 has come up with a untraditional solution to finish shooting the late Paul Walker’s scenes. Production has employed Walker’s two brothers as body doubles in order to complete the actor’s last movie. When Walker died suddenly back in November of 2013, the production took a hiatus and producers had several meetings to figure out how to proceed with the film. Eventually, it was decided that filming would continue as planned, without any major re-writes. Several body doubles would be covered to complete walker’s remaining scenes. The actors would resemble him in build and get a full CGI transformation into his character, Brian O’Connor.

It seems that the clever folk at Universal have found the perfect doubles in Walker’s own brothers. Universal announced the news on Facebook Tuesday (April 15), writing, "The Fast & Furious saga is about family. The characters are connected by the bond of family, and it is how all of us who have worked together for more than thirteen years feel about each other."

"We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul's brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our FAST family," the film's team continued, calling Walker's work on the film "among the strongest work of his career."

It’s an apt casting, given that many of the Fast & Furious actors have mentioned before that being on set feels like a family affair. The statement went on along those same lines. "Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too," the post went on to say of his brothers.

Cody Walker, a paramedic, currently works with the actor's Reach Out Worldwide charity, according to Yahoo! Movies. Cody has previous experience as a stuntman. The third brother, Caleb Walker, will also be involved.
