Actress Paz de la Huerta Has Filed A New Lawsuit Over Her 2011 On-set Movie Accident, Alleging The Director Damaged Her Career.
The former Boardwalk Empire star was filming horror movie Nurse 3D in Canada when she was struck by an ambulance and sustained a spinal fracture.
De la Huerta previously filed a lawsuit against bosses of production company Lionsgate seeking damages for negligence, but they hit back claiming she had already been compensated for the accident.
The actress has now filed a new lawsuit accusing director Doug Aarniokoski and an ambulance driver of harming her career, according to TMZ.com.
After the accident, the moviemaker hired another star to dub de la Huerta's voice in several scenes and the film tanked upon release.
De la Huerta is suing for $55 million (£35 million) to cover lost earnings, plus punitive damages. She also wants the director to re-dub the movie with her own voice.
