The winners of the People's Choice Awards have been announced! And while there are a few surprises here and there, such as 'Game Of Thrones' losing out in two categories as well as 'Jurassic World' AND Amy Schumer, it's a pretty pleasing set of results for a monster of a year in terms of entertainment.

Let's start with the big screen. Favorite Movie and Favorite Action Movie was named as 'Furious 7', beating 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' in both categories, though Chris Hemsworth still came out on top for Favorite Action Movie Actor. Likewise, Action Movie contender 'Insurgent' saw Shailene Woodley win Favorite Action Movie Actress.

While neither 'Magic Mike XXL' nor 'The Hateful Eight' bagged any People's Choice nominations this year, Channing Tatum was still named Favorite Movie Actor. Also, crime comedy 'Spy' might have lost to 'Pitch Perfect 2' in the Favorite Comedic Movie section, but Melissa McCarthy reigns as Favorite Comedic Movie Actress (and Favorite Comedic TV Actress), with Favorite Comedic Movie Actor going to 'Get Hard' star Kevin Hart, who also won Favorite Cable TV Actor.

Channing Tatum's female counter-part was named as Sandra Bullock, with her animated film 'Minions' also landing Favorite Family Movie. However, Selena Gomez was the Favorite Animated Movie Voice for her part in 'Hotel Transylvania 2'. Meanwhile, 'Taken 3' won Favorite Thriller Movie, while 'The Martian' was marked as the best Dramatic Movie. Favorite Dramatic Movie Actor and Actress went to Johnny Depp and Dakota Johnson for 'Black Mass' and 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' respectively.

Of course, Favorite TV Show and Network TV Comedy was chosen as 'The Big Bang Theory', main star Jim Parsons also landing Favorite Comedic TV Actor. 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' was named as Favorite Cable TV Comedy. More favorite show winners were 'Grey's Anatomy' (Network Drama), 'Pretty Little Liars' (Cable Drama), 'Homeland' (Premium Cable), 'Person of Interest' (Crime Drama), 'Beauty and the Beast' (Network Sci-Fi/Fantasy), 'Outlander' (Cable Sci-Fi/Fantasy), 'Orange is the New Black' (Streaming Series), 'The Simpsons' (Animated), 'Scream Queens' (New Comedy) and 'Supergirl' (New Drama).

The main TV actor winners included Taylor Kinney, Dwayne Johnson and Kristen Bell among others, and when it came to hosting Ellen DeGeneres and Jimmy Fallon were the favorites, with 'The Voice' and 'The Talk' also being lauded in such categories.

In the music section, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift were the Favorite Artists (with Swift also landing Pop Artist) with Fifth Harmony as the Favorite Group and Shawn Mendes as Breakout Artist. However, it was Meghan Trainor's album 'Title' that was the People's Favorite, and Justin Bieber's song 'What Do You Mean?' was the biggest hit of the nominations. And, of course, Madonna landed that all important, coveted Music Icon accolade because she will never cease to be a legend.
