Perfume Genius' new LP "Put Your Back N 2 It" will be released on 20th February 2012 on Organs (Turnstile).
The video for lead single Hood was directed and edited by Winston H. Case. The simple yet highly effective video sees Michael Hadreas being held by another man (Arpad Miklos) against a white backdrop. Miklos sets Hadreas down before gently brushing his hair and applying makeup. Different shots of the pair see them emulate iconic movie characters such as Edward Scissorhands.
His debut LP "Learning", released in 2010, established Seattle native Hadreas - aka Perfume Genius - firmly as one of the most singular new voices in music, receiving critical acclaim across the pond.
Learning was seen as deeply personal to critics and fans, with haunting melodies and 'shocking' lyrics. Put Your Back N 2 It looks set to explore the same territories of expectation and closeness.
