Wass, who performed with groups including Lefthand and The Lipstick Melodies, and was close pals with controversial rocker Pete Doherty, died in April (15) at the age of 33.

Now his friends and family have organised a memorial show in London on 21 May (15) for fans to pay their respects.

A post on Facebook.com reads, "Alan's family and friends are hosting a memorial gig to celebrate his life and the things he loved most: friends, fun and music. Featuring Alan's band, The Tourniquet, and friends TBA (to be announced)."
