Kit Harington Game Of Thrones Lena Headey Jonathan Pryce Emilia Clarke Iain Glen Peter Dinklage

With the stunning and shocking season finale for 'Game Of Thrones' Season Five having taking audiences by storm, it's time to take a look back over the season and discuss what we thought were the best moments from one of the best rated seasons of one most critically acclaimed shows of all time. While there were plenty of twists and turns this season (in addition to boat rides), these are our top five:

Kit Harrington's Jon Snow seems to have bitten the dustKit Harington's Jon Snow seems to have bitten the dust

Cersei's Arrest: Lena Headey has put in a great performance from the start, making the incestuous, alcoholic and power-hungry Cersei Lannister both a compelling and hated character since the show's first episode. That said, seeing her chickens coming home to roost when Jonathan Pryce's High Sparrow took the power she had given him, and threw her in prison for her various crimes.

The six-minute sketch contained a lot of the current (surviving) cast of the show, like Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Kit Harington, as well as actors like John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy/Reek), Iwan Rheon (Ramsey Bolton) and Charlotte Hope (Myranda). There was also an appearance from some of the long-past actors like Mark Addy (King Robert Baratheon in Season One), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Jojen Reed) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte), who received a serenade from Kit Harington. Diana Rigg (Olenna Tyrell) also made a brief appearance to discuss how the whole concert was a terrible idea.

But when neighbouring aliens discover a feed of classic arcade games such as Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede and Space Invaders, they interpret it is a threat of war. Valar Morghulis - But Who Do We Think Will Die In This Season Of 'Game Of Thrones'? [Speculative Spoilers]

Kit Harington Alexander Siddig Alfie Allen Gwendoline Christie Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Peter Dinklage Emilia Clarke Lena Headey Sophie Turner Maisie Williams Jerome Flynn George R. R. Martin Rory McCann

Prince Doran - We've only seen Prince Doran Martell (Alexander Siddig) in one episode so far, he's already made a strong impression on everyone. The elder brother of fan favourite Oberyn, who came to a horribly messy end in the last season, Prince Doran is trying his best to keep the peace in Dorne, and stop his people from seeking revenge against the Lannisters. It stands to reason, however, that his death would make give them a great reason to rise up and start a war.

Brienne/Podrick - Brienne (Gwendoline Christie) and Podrick (Daniel Portman) have been giving us a good dose of the "two buddies traveling", following in the footsteps of Tyrion (Peter Dinklage ) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn), and Arya (Maisie Williams) and the Hound (Rory McCann). The problem is, that each of those has come to a rather disastrous ending at some point, and the death of Brienne or Podrick seems likely - especially with what they seem to be getting themselves into.

In 1982, Earth created a time capsule of popular culture from the era, and sent it into space in order to establish contact with extra-terrestrial life. Somehow, an ancient race of alien lifeforms that have never had any other contact with mankind did not understand the meaning of the 'message'. They especially take offence to the inclusion of 'Pac Man' and 'Donkey Kong', and assemble an army of pixelated, murderous 1980s video game characters and send them back to Earth to destroy the humans. With the world on the brink of destruction by a giant 'Pac Man', mankind has just one hope: a hodgepodge collection of retro gamers, using their old techniques to defeat the greatest video game boss of all time.

What Can We Expect From The 'Game Of Thrones' Season 4 Finale?

Peter Dinklage

[MAJOR SPOILERS ALERT!]

So, Game of Thrones fans, what do you think - is it possible to outdo the utter mastery that was the penultimate episode of Season 4, The Watchers on the Wall? 50 minutes of Jon Snow in all his glory, brutal fighting and yet, somehow, they managed to slip in a little sentimentality as well. The death of Ygritte was a powerful piece of television, Snow’s brief moment of happiness at seeing his lover again quickly turned to ashes as she was shot with an arrow and died in his arms, but not before uttering her famous words, “You know nothing, Jon Snow.”

Brace Yourselves For The "Game Of Thrones" Season Finale - The Writers Are Finishing Strong This Year

Peter Dinklage Emilia Clarke Maisie Williams

The fourth season of Game of Thrones has ignited a lot of controversy, which on a show all about sex, murder and little bit of politics, is really saying something. With the season finale coming next week, fans who are already caught up on the books can just sit back and watch the rest of us fry as we wait for the mindblowing (or completely anti-climactic) final episode to unfold. After all, the showrunners have been known to fire off all their plot twists pre-finale before. Take The-Event-That-Must-Not-Be-Named of season 3 for example.

Tyrion's life is at stake for the finale.

Fortunately, the folks behind Thrones are promising a much more thrilling conclusion to season 4. According to Entertainment Weekly, next week’s episode will break the narrative pattern, set by previous season – big shocking event in the ninth episode, and then a quieter wrap-up in the finale.

What Happened To 'The Angriest Man In Brooklyn'?

Mila Kunis Robin Williams Peter Dinklage Louis C.K. Phil Alden Robinson

It had the promise to be a supremely enjoyable farcical comedy, yet The Angriest Man In Brooklyn has positively bombed across the board, receiving a paltry 13% on Rotten Tomatoes. The critics loathe it whilst audiences are equally unenthused after a slew of damning reviews posited the film as an appalling failure that benefits nobody- cast or audience. But where did it all go wrong?

Kunis at the 2014 MTV AwardsKulis' performance has been singled out as particularly bland.

The film itself is a remake of the Israeli film called The 92 Minutes Of Mr. Baum and the plot seems to fit succinctly with Robin Williams’s trademark style of hyperactive comedy and melancholy redemption. A cantankerous man is wrongly informed by his doctor that he only has ninety minutes to live, prompting Williams character, Henry Altman, on a race against time to make amends with his family members who he has mistreated over the years. Henry’s doctor, played by Mila Kunis, suffers a lapse of judgement after being in the midst of a bad day herself, and scurries across Brooklyn to track down Henry and correct her mis-diagnosis.

X-men: Days Of Future Past Review

Excellent

Continuing to be the most original and resonant of the Marvel superhero franchises, the X-men return in the capable hands of director Bryan Singer, who again stirs plenty of meaty subtext beneath the thrilling action. He also has one of the best casts imaginable, including Oscar winners, cinema royalty, rising stars and matinee idols.

Best of all, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) returns to the fold after two less-than-thrilling solo adventures. He's at the centre of everything here, as Professor X and Magneto (Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen) ask Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) to send Wolverine's consciousness back 50 years to 1973. His mission is to prevent Dr Trask (Peter Dinklage) from inventing mutant-hunting robots, because they will go out of control and cause a present-day dystopia in which mutants and anyone who sympathises with them are killed. But Wolverine's biggest task will be to get the then-feuding Professor X and Magneto (James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender) to work together to keep renegade mutant Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) from making everything worse.

Thankfully, Simon Kinberg's script doesn't worry too much about the whole time-travel thing, shrugging off dubious logic by keeping the focus on the characters. And there are a lot of people to keep an eye on, which makes the film sometimes feel a bit crowded and leaves some characters barely on-screen at all (blink and you'll miss Anna Paquin's Rogue). The best newbie is Evan Peters' Quicksilver, who gets the film's most entertaining sequence as he races around tweaking an action sequence frame by frame. Other set-pieces are grippingly darker, and some don't quite make sense (why does Magneto feel the need to levitate an entire stadium?).

"Game Of Thrones" Recap: "Mockingbird" Or "Exposition, Exposition, Character Death"

Sophie Turner Peter Dinklage

The episodes of Game of Thrones, filled with shocking deaths and stunning plot twists are usually the ones that get the most press, but it is often episodes like last night’s Mockingbird – slow, precise and dialogue heavy – that really serve to move the plot forward and give us an insight into the characters . If you haven’t guessed it already, this is your spoiler warning for Season 4 Episode 7 – Mockingbird.

Game of Thrones - where noone is ever safe.

The episode opens with another impassioned chat between Jaime and Tyrion – a broken Tyrion, who is just about to have his fate sealed in a trial by combat. Unfortunately, Tyrion’s only friend at King’s Landing – Jaime – is still hopeless with any kind of weapon and facing Gregor Clegane (aptly nicknamed “The Mountain That Rides”) is completely out of the question. Of course, there’s always Bronn. The wisecracking sidekick is only a sellsword, but he has developed a sort-of friendship with Tyrion over the past two seasons, surely he’d agree to be the Imp’s champion, right? Wrong. Bronn has been bought off with a wife and castles and the realization stabs us through the hearts almost as much as it does Tyrion.

"Game Of Thrones" Episode 3 Recap: Whodunit? Who Cares?

Emilia Clarke Lena Headey Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Peter Dinklage Maisie Williams Sophie Turner

Before talking about this week’s Game of Thrones, we should probably dish out the warnings with a heavy hand. Beware of ALL THE SPOILERS for Season 4 Episode 3 Breaker of Chains. Also, this should go without saying, but all the trigger warnings: sexual assault, violence and various very graphic murders. Now that that’s out of the way…

Peter Dinklage, Game of Thrones
Looks like Tyrion is about to reach the end of the line. We're betting on a plot twist though...

This episode sets up like a classic whodunit. With Joffrey dead (good riddance, although Jack Gleeson’s acting will be missed), Lord Tywin is trying to prepare little Tommen for his new role as king. The boy wants to be a “good king”, which would be admirable, if it weren’t for the fact that he’s like 12. Cercei, meanwhile, is only concerned with who killed her son. Well, she’s also concerned with getting revenge on Tyrion, whom she thinks is the killer, finding Sansa (who escaped during the commotion caused by Joff’s death) and just a bit of incest next to Joff’s body, but that’s just standard Westeros fare at this point.
